Great content! I must admit that Canada seems to be the best country in the world, judging from some of your assertions. In Sweden, you can only drive for one year with your foreign drivers license after which it becomes obligatory to get a Swedish license with will cost you based on your driving ability and knowledge; in a nutshell, it is not cheap. Then you also talked about jobs and handiwork. Here in Sweden it may be easy for people with very low level of education and without any profession to get jobs. Because they can work with anything or menial jobs, as it is called. But when you have a profession or university degree, then getting a job in Sweden becomes an uphill task. And when you have a handiwork or competence, as you called it, you can't just start working and earning money. It is illegal in Sweden to get paid for any service without being registered as a service provider or seller. You are not permitted to receive a dime for doing any work without paying taxes, social charges and VAT for that money. So anything outside that paradigm is illegal. Then vehicles; a reasonable car costs nothing less than €10 000. And a good car costs more. We drive a €30 000 car today, for example, in order to avoid going to the mechanic's always. To buy a house in Sweden, you need to pay 10% of the price of the property, plus your permanent job contract. I think I will move to Canada. lol
Bros from what I understand Canada and Sweden are alike in so many aspects. having handiwork like we call it in naija must be registered too here in Canada but certain "handyman" jobs don't have to example helping clients to install/mount furniture, hanging tv sets on walls, braids for women, barbing, driving etc but will be taxed unless d person fit collect him money for hand o as I dey hear.....but then Sweden might be a big man country and I sabi u as bigman lols.... 30 000 euro car! hmmm big man!!! thats equivalent of 44.000 CAD ...Those kind of priced vehicles are here in Canada even costlier but i think should not be the priority of a new a new immigrant which the above video is for. 5k CAD minimum will get a new immigrant a good functioning car to move around without issues....... As per jobs there are menial jobs all over Canada and will absorb anyone immediately like Sweden and same thing like Sweden when u have university degrees its challenging to get jobs but only difference might be that it might be more challenging in Sweden becuase one might be required to speak the Swedish language even though I learnt that English is widely spoken in Sweden. All in all bros maybe na me for join you there o to become a bigman like you abi
I forgot to mention that in Quebec province where I reside a foreign drivers license can be used for only 6 months before the owner will be required to obtain the quebec drivers license.....I hear its 3 months in Ontario.....so I think Sweden is better in that aspect
@@naijamaninquebec I get it. But here, you don't just "obtain" a new Swedish license. lol. You go back to driving school. Though I had be driving for over 25 years, I still had to take some driving lessons and they are not cheap. And the theory is the most important and it is imperative. We celebrate drivers' license here more than we celebrate citizenship. lol
