Episode 3 instilled a such a profound emptiness in me which i can hardly describe. Just seeing a kid make the ultimate sacrifice for what he believes is the truth, him not being able to reach that proof despite the fact that he has more than enough potential to find it and other potential discoveries over strict religious dogma and the acceptance he feels while making his decision.
This OP and the song are gorgeous, complete cinematic experience. And this anime needs more attention fr. Idk why it is rated in the 7s on MAL, it deserves more than that.
Around 8.2 now, give it some more time. There’s many shows that start with a low rating but get higher overtime, and vice versa. Some people don’t rate a show until it ended like me so that can contribute as well

I came in the story thinking it will mainly be about the heroic journey of the main characters on exposing the truth of this world. While I wasn't exactly wrong, it feels less like my initial expectations the more I read it. Instead, it feels like a love letter to "passion". But that's just me though. It’s also a love letter to what science truly is. Collaboration between different generations of people. We don’t know each other personally, but we are all inhabited by the same fire, searching for answers and exposing the “truth” the more we can. As a scientist myself, I deeply felt that. I read interviews of the mangaka, he’s nearly my age (and very young!). He studied philosophy and likes to question what makes us human. I recommend reading his interviews, I would love to meet and talk with him, he seems to be a really interesting person 😊
I was waiting for so long for the plot armor to kick in for poor Rafal. It turns out, the main character of the anime is the wonder of mankind's curiosity. And there's something utterly profound about that.

I am in a very difficult period of my life right now, and this anime's sort of running theme of making peace with one's death and passing on of the torch has been profoundly calming for me. It's a shame it's so severely underrated.
Everything about this anime is about passing a simple scientific spirit, nowadays we have science to trust, just because lots of nameless Rafal left their pieces of thought. It's not only about science, but also about truth and the desire of seeking of truth, even if there is no end of this journey.

For the past few weeks I've been looking up facts and documentaries regarding astronomy and how exactly we humans got to explore and unwind the truths. A complete Change in perspective occured within me and this anime deserves the credit 💯
Best show+ best opening this season. Out of all the hype from the other shows none of them 'hit' me like this one emotionally. RIP to my guy H (1 letter to not spoil) and i knew it was gonna be good because of the voice acting , legendary voice actor that everybody loves is the antagonist. Also so creative and intriguing. 「ネタバレ無し」みんなにはネタバレをくらう前に見てほしいな。公式PVがコメント封鎖するくらいだからここも危険。個人的には今まで出会った作品で進撃の巨人に次ぐくらい好きな作品でした。全8巻で無駄が一切なく、心が動かされ続けた。アニメだとどうしてもカットされてる部分はあるけど、アニメはいちいち背景に映る星空が綺麗すぎる、、大きな画面で見ると最高ですね。あとOPEDどちらも控えめに言って神でした。
