Outside that why did mattel straight out give up on giving g2 cleo warps?? She just looked like a random tanned girl alot of times-i know they modeled on bandages but their colored the same as her skin and its impossible to see them alot of time😭
Honestly that was always something I had an issue with Cleo even since Gen1. She barely had wraps on her and there were some outfits where she didn't even have any at all! (Creepateria's probably the most noticeable one).

The G2 "family pack" Cleo had such a sad-looking (as in her expression made her look sad) faceup, that when I bought her, I dubbed her "Teen Mom Cleo". She was one of the first to go into the yard sale pile when I went through all my dolls back in 2019.
Electrified cleo was a jumpscare 💀
About the point about them adding a new color to each of their color schemes, I think it was more them trying to make a color that was previously just an accent color for them more prominent. Draculaura had a few dolls in G1 with blue, Boo York and Scarnival. Cleo and Clawdeen has had green since Dawn of the Dance, and Frankie's had yellow since Gloom Beach.
I do agree that that Draculaura is not good, but I feel like it's mostly the top part of her dress that's making it not work since it's so heavily pink and red. I think had they just made her whole dress the pattern of her skirt, the blue wouldn't stand out as badly as it did.
I’m aware they used those accent colors previously, I was mostly commenting on the insistence to start using it on all of their releases and making it a permanent part of their color schemes and why I don’t think it worked
@@Courtly_Jester oh yeah no I totally agree with that. Had it been occasionally Draculaura had a doll with blue in it, I think would be fine but them pushing so many with blue and likewise with the others like Cleo and Clawdeen with green, it just didn’t work.
I would've allowed the additions of Lux, Sandy, and Phara De Nile to have been official canon is if Rameses had remairred and Cleo and Nefera were ok with it
Update: found a FB marketplace listing for a g1 monster high book that's centered around Cleo and apparently her mom was found in a tomb and finally came back home so assuming Cleo's mom was still with her, Rameses, and Nefera, i'll fully allow Lux, Phara, and Sandy as Cleo and Nefera's little siblings

Yep, I'm pretty sure you highlighted the worst that G2 could have given us pretty well. 😂 And I agree about everything you said about the all-over-the-place color schemes, the really weird concepts that weren't "monstrous", and just everything in general. Also, THOSE DOLLS IN THE BEGINNING HAD MOLDED-ON SHOES?! They molded their SHOES on?! 🤣 But honestly, that frankie and draculaura were G2 in a nutshell. But that's all pretty much, and I would love to see that top 5 least/most fave rainbow high/shadow high dolls vid.. and now if you'll excuse me, imma go watch the new episode of the lol surprise show cuz lets face it, there's more entertainment in that than there is in the rainbow high series at the moment. 😂 Thx for another great video Lizzie! 🤗

The outfit in concept is similar but I think picture cleo is much more cohesive, the colors in her outfit are less varied and all over the place and can be found in other pieces she’s wearing on the doll

I agree to an extent I think her pants belt bracelet and The heels of her shoes are the cohesiveness but her hair Straps on her shoes and dress are 3 different shades of blue.

I did really enjoy that they gave Clawdeen more siblings, because there was a running joke that she had a big family, and in the original books by Lisi Harrison she is one of eight children.

What I ❤about budget dolls like the ones you left out is that they never lose their shoes and they're never completely naked. Even adult collectors will switch clothes around and it's nice for the doll to always be decent, such that I never have to worry about covering her. I am personally annoyed if I've got a naked doll lying around so it's nice never having to worry about their modesty 😅

I owned the ice cream 4 pack without knowing it was G2, but I hated the reused purses. I didn't mind Dracs as I lost my frights camera action purse.
The outfits were meh to me. It looked worse irl and why did Drac have a bun when the pic had a ponytail? Clawdeens face was so soft I thought it was Howleen. And Frankie and Cleo...meh...
All In all- very meh set.
