Pros: trains Cons: trains, even when the source and destination are like, right next to eachother. that just seems like making it more complicated for the sake of it
@@T0tenkampf how exciting is building a 4 tile long railway that has a single engine and wagon going back and forth on it to supply a power plant from an oil well that's two tiles away?
OT: I watched decades ago your Videos of against the storm and had it on my watchlist since then. Now i bought and played it and i love it. Thanks again for all your great content mate ❤
I never played management games like this before. But your commentary is awesome! It really shows how much depth and strategy there is to it. Would love to see more of this!
I'm glad you decided to make super long form content like this, a full 80 minute deep dive into this train game was great! Much prefer this meaty video to the 20 minute long "snacks" of Civ content, though that might just be me
YOOOOO i love railgrade its nice to see it getting some attention!!! id love to see you play more n see what you build and how you solve certain levels!
Regarding whether to upgrade or buy a new facility at 58:35 I think you missed something that matters. Namely it looks like an upgraded building may keep the same number of workforce, they just make each single worker a lot more productive. So it's not just if you've got limited input sources or build locations that make it worth upgrading your buildings, it's also if you have a limited number of workers or if you can't afford to fill your buildings with workers because of money flow (assuming increasing numbers of workers affects maintenance costs whilst upgraded buildings don't have their maintenance/worker pay costs changed) and you can't solve the money flow issue in other easier/cheaper ways.
Getting S-grade on that oil volume bonus mission was pretty tight. Had to restart a bunch of times. What made it in the end, was to have small, efficient loops, that required less travel time, and less initial cost to build. Also takes less trains to saturate a small loop, than a long one...
I loooove this game as well! Been playing it for over a year now. The later missions are so awesome! Just waut for it ;). It'd love a lets play or more videos. Especially about the sandbox mode.
just added to wishlist, are you playing with the Sweet Transit early content? I actually like the looks of this more than the last factory game that you reviewed, as a controls designer it has some work related synergy to me.
You basically turn into a vengeful conquerer in the last video, literally throwing units at the AI knowing they will die for the greater good. Every few minutes a new quip or remark on how angry the AI has made you and how you will steamroll them into oblivion. Its pure hilarious drama and I'm counting down the hours until the next installment. Then, you drop a railroad game. And i think to myself, "there isnt much he couldve done in replacement of the next Inca video to satisfy me, but this is definitely one of them." Its like you said in a few of your previous playthroughs, theres nothing more satisfying like using a military engineer or two to create a rail network in your civilization. (And ya roads using charges but railroads not is weird in civ)
Sure is a funny-lookin' mod for that tall Inca run...
not enough rampage here
This is what you get after he looses the Inca tall game war and doesn’t want to show it 😂
Top tier comment

this bothers me so much. Game needs like, 1-2 tile max conveyor belts.
@@Cashatoo yea, there's this cool thing called pipelines - that'd be perfect for the oil wells n such
@@MegaBanane9 how exciting are running pipelines? How many kids wanted to be pipefitters when they were 5?

9/10 video (not enough chugga sounds)
Potato and building rails, a classic love story.

love the chugga chugga sounds - requesting more regardless of the game.
Yes please! I would happily watch tons of this. Your "Into the storm" play was also very very good.

This was definitely different but still had that tycoon kind of feel to it. Would definitely watch more.
Love this game! Glad to see you're liking it too
Loving the longer format video, can we get more exploration videos like this?
More Railgrade please, this was cool!
God damnit... that intro made me chuckle. Take my subscribe.
Yeah, this was a really fun game, just tried it out, thanks for the tip!
Potato is trying to escape the Civ mines again. But I guess I could watch another one.
gosh damnit ... now im addicted again... thanks potatoe !!
I think it'd be really fun seeing you play Transport Fever 2 and other similar games
Game looks amazing I hope it's on GOG. Big Transport tycoon and dare I say Locomotion vibes :)
you better be tryin railway empire as ur next game
I am disappointed with how much track wasn’t covered with train in that last challenge.
The "not-interest" is still interest. It's just interest that's benefiting you rather than the bank.

Noper
those are the weirdest dollar symbols that I have ever seen, must be fake news
Keep going please!
Hey Potato, love the content. Im curious if this is a sponsored stream?

BOYS WE RAILIN’🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I see a fellow railgrade player. I suggest you do sandbox it’s fun to just build without being forced to leave
Potato Anno 1800 when?
No way to place signals to control the train paths and prevent the ghosting?
When Will you make a video on the new primal fury dlc for age of wonders 4?
Soon
Doesn't look bad, but not knowing how it works, the challenge level might not have been the best to catch the audience.
it's weird that you need train to transport power. why not change them into process oil or something. it's also making sense too.
hack! CIRCLE!
Railin'? A game completely about Potato's mom?
What's an Indy studio pay for a showcase like this? Genuinely curious
1.5k-5k USD depending. I did this for free because I like the game
OpenTTD but it's Mad Max
moare plux.
Why the people in this game's world don't use pipe/power lines anymore??
so its railroad tycoon but different🤔
Where Inca world conquest?
why two loops???
You got addicted to WHAT???!!!!???!!!
Looks good... but that "wrong way" stuff would get old fast.
Considering it's a no-pause game, I'd be pissed and uninstalling in less than an hour.
there's a keyboard shortcut that applies any switch changes to all the trains that share the line. It helps cut down on the wrong way issues
I got addicted to Railin' your mom
meh
this game is fucking horrible, what universe are you living in? Oh yeah, the money one - only thing you care about
I was not paid for this video you brainlet
Where Inca world conquest?
