I know I am a year off but I have a story about a ref. I play indoor soccer on a turf field with some thick plastic apps and you can get fouls for hitting someone into it. My team in jv boys, u14, 12, and if girls have pissed him off to the point he tries to make us lose. Calls evey little thing. Friend didn't touch a kid by the wall and the kid threw himself into the wall and we got a foul. We knock any of them over, it's a foul even if we have control of the ball and are dribbling. I get shoved and knocked down and no foul. Sorry for the rant/ story
Usually I can watch videos like this and 60-70% of the calls you can definitely make a case for why the referee makes the decision he makes but about 90% of these calls are utterly ridiculous. The calls that refs make on the dives are stupid because if they feel he's dived and don't give a penalty, they have to book him for diving. You can't not give a penalty on the assumption that the player has dived and not book him for it. The free kick is ridiculous due to the fact that nowhere in there does Busquets actually commit a foul and even if he had, there is no way the ref can see enough of it from the other side of the wall to make that call. And then getting booked for not putting your boot on off the field is ridiculous because that's not even a rule.

The kick came from FCB and hit a defending player. Messi was in an offside position which gave him an advantage. Any ref is going to call that offside. Learn the rules yourself and piss off.

I know I am a year off but I have a story about a ref. I play indoor soccer on a turf field with some thick plastic apps and you can get fouls for hitting someone into it. My team in jv boys, u14, 12, and if girls have pissed him off to the point he tries to make us lose. Calls evey little thing. Friend didn't touch a kid by the wall and the kid threw himself into the wall and we got a foul. We knock any of them over, it's a foul even if we have control of the ball and are dribbling. I get shoved and knocked down and no foul. Sorry for the rant/ story

Usually I can watch videos like this and 60-70% of the calls you can definitely make a case for why the referee makes the decision he makes but about 90% of these calls are utterly ridiculous. The calls that refs make on the dives are stupid because if they feel he's dived and don't give a penalty, they have to book him for diving. You can't not give a penalty on the assumption that the player has dived and not book him for it. The free kick is ridiculous due to the fact that nowhere in there does Busquets actually commit a foul and even if he had, there is no way the ref can see enough of it from the other side of the wall to make that call. And then getting booked for not putting your boot on off the field is ridiculous because that's not even a rule.
