The selfie camera is decent outside but not good in artificial lighting conditions. But the front camera, I think might improve a little after stable oxygen os 11 rolls out. So, keep an eye on that.

The difference between default camera and gcam is night and day. Even the front camera takes so much detailed photos in night when night mode is enabled on gcam. Dynamic range in daytime photography is better in default camera than gacm (although it depends on what version of gcam you're using). I can vouch for Nord_gcam combo. It is surely capable of taking excellent shots.

Nice video buddy, I have a OnePlus nord 12gb variant camera seems to be okay but I would like to install gcam on it, and do I have to root the phone to do so ? If yes what are the down sides of rooting will I still get my security patches and software updates and another issue I'm facing I can see pink tint from 15 to 30% screen brightness I was not visible at first now is very annoying while using at night. Should I get it replaced or its normal that this phone has the same tint issue on all devices. Please suggest
No you do not need to root your phone to install Gcam. Slight pink/purple tint is there on each and every unit and i agree that might be bothering you a lot. But believe me callibrate your display brightness to more than the threshold where you get that issue or switch to another browser other than chrome, you'll stop noticing the issue in a few days.
