And that's what i consider to be "raw" - knowing you're on record, you can't quite hit the note, but you still go for it and you just keep going even after failing. I love her. Not hitting that note makes this version even better. Damn. I love it. People saying she’s tired and needs a break……..maybe so but YOU’ALL need to enjoy the flaws because that’s what makes this version better than the original. Don’t get me wrong. The original is something I will always listen to. But this one is real and emotional. Life is breathing into this version because it’s not rehearsed and her voice is absolutely raw. I’m a guy and I wish I was able to express my imperfection this way because it feels good and it’s so fuckin awesome.
This is only a clip of the the original. She was sick with a head cold and had a hard time trying to breath through her nose. She probably had a sore throat before or during this also.

Seeing her not being able to hit that high note makes you realise that no matter how talented you are we all make mistakes and she just keeps going without stressing about it. That voice crack (and her immediate reaction to it) was actually kinda beautiful. It's noticeable that she was already struggling a bit with that part, and when it finally happens, she quickly resets and goes back on the right spot the next verse. So cool to hear a raw voice like that, it adds so much to the music.
