We got the first ever TV in our house from Singapore ( Philips) when my brother sent it to Mumbai through one of his friends. My brother and I went from Delhi to Mumbai just to bring the TV home.
Sinhapore and malaysia was adininistered by Srilankan Tamil professionals. They built the railways , roads, post office and oyher government jobs.
