As someone that has gotten lasik eye surgery, big recommend to Drut. You do have to be awake but you basically just see a blinking light until its done. The worst parts are when they lift the film that covers your eye to use the laser and the smell of burnt hair during the procedure.

0:49 As someone that used to wear glasses since I was 4 years old and now, at the age of 19, got rid of them thanks to a surgery, I definitly suggest having an eye surgery to anyone that feels like glasses are hindering their life in the slightest. Yes, the surgery can be very disturbing: I had to watch as my doctor inserted an ICL into my eye while I was fully awake and it was kinda thrilling. But the whole procedure lasted only 25 minutes and the recovery period only consist of staying at home for a week and using antibiotic eye drops every few hours. It's been 2 months since then and I haven't felt better in my whole life. Even the feeling I get when I wake up and realize I don't have to put on my glasses as the first thing in the morning is worth the surgery, not even mentioning that I can easily do any physical activity I want without having to worry about breaking my glasses. If you want to have an eye surgery but afraid of the process, don't be. It's the best QoL update you can get in your whole life.

i had eye surgery with laser. only thing was bad about it is the laser buring your eye part that smelled like you burn your body hair. so its nothing bad!
