My buddy and I are really into WW2 aircraft and we went to Duxford while in England/Scotland I could not believe that facility! the people were extremely friendly to us yanks and even lowered the 'ropes' for us to get a better view. You could hear planes taking off... when we looked outside we seen 3 Spitfires taking of with a P47 unreal! What a great time. A woman serving coffee brought out some creamer for me LOL cause she knew we Americans liked it and her husband was American. I have several souvenirs from that day including a mug.
I am so glad you enjoyed it! It’s always good to hear when our Brits are being friendly 😂 Most airshows/airfields I have been to have always had lovely staff. It’s such a great thing to experience!
@@PlaneBrain Yes we have some great museums and airshows here one of which was the planes of fame one but still.... Duxford is very special. Back then we played an airplane game called Warbirds which was WW2 planes. through it I "met" hundreds of folks from around the world. When we went to England and Scotland (my gramps was born there) we had a great time renting a car and driving over a thousand miles! I got to meet people I had only 'shot down' online and I thing everyone was nice to us because the whole time we were there the weather was absolutely perfect.. like I was still in California! They all said that we brought the weather with us LOL

Maybe you sent it this way accidentally again 😂There are a lot of Warbirds in the UK, the next video to come out will be from East Kirkby Airshow. You will see the B-17 (Sally B) and the Electra-Junior again, along with a P-51 Mustang (Jersey Jerk).
A girl after my own heart.. Duxford is my go to/2nd home 😄 I was last there for the Spitfire cockpit experience a few months back. I was lucky to spend an hour or so sitting in the Spitfire and was asked if I wanted to sit in their 2 seater Hurricane, BE505.. My answer was ‘absolutely!’ 😁

Did you miss the f35 and f15 fly past at the start?
We were inside the Lancaster when they flew past. Heard them and saw the last one pass but didn’t get a chance to film 🛩️
