I don't think mk should have a main character. I like the Mortal Kombat universe being dark & depressing. You get attached to a character and they're faced with their mortality.
If Takeda does not feel good in MK1 for Max I will be so sad. Literally the one character that he probably would have wanted to play all this time that if he doesn't feel like he does here it will be so heartbreaking.
Only just got MKXL recently and Takeda is becoming a favourite, already liked his character and outfit and what you can do is pretty cool, been really hype for him to return in MK1. Love these returning to MKX to see how characters are. 🖤💛

it really was, I never cared for the customization they brought in MK11 and Injustice 2. The variation system was peak. Each character had multiple playstyles.

Thankfully in MK1, kameos do a good job giving high dmg meterless combos for all the characters but they too should be able to crank out big dmg with no kameo and no meter. Johnny and Kenshi are good examples given they have a lot of meterless combo starters and unique mechanics.

I personally prefer MK11's custom variations over MKX's specific 3. It feels too much like 3 characters per character and remembering who got which what etc. I hoped MKX would be the same inputs, but just different moves. What I mean is everybody got the same inputs per variation, but ff+3 is just different in V1 compared to V2's ff+3. Instead, ff+3 may be gone and replaced with fdf+1. Having different inputs per variation felt like learning another character and not getting confused.
Takeda was SOOO SICK in MKX. Even I played Ronin cause it was the sauciest variation in the game maybe outside of Dualist Liu but Takeda's other variations were also viable and dope! Definitely the best Kombat kid in the game. Not to mention he's Kenshi's SON and Scorpion's student! He's a walking badazz 😂
Man, all they had to do was build off of MKX for MK1… Get rid of the useless ‘stance switch’ button, turn it into a dedicated run button, and add the Kameos… This game could’ve been the best MK yet in terms of gameplay, but that title still is held by MKX… MK1 feels like MK9 but with assists and that isn’t bad, but MKX was undoubtedly the best game of the modern 2.5D era and I still don’t know why they didn’t just build on that template… The reason MK3/Trilogy were the best games from the classic era was because they were in your face aggressive and fast. I don’t know why people idolize the slow nature of MK2? It just feels so stiff compared to 3/Trilogy…

@Maximilian Dood been a huge fan of the channel since the assist me days but, I loved Takeda in this game a lot too but, where you and I seemed to differ at back in the MKXL days when the game was in it’s prime was I really enjoyed Lasher Takeda and a little bit of Shirai Ryu but, mostly Lasher for me.

Takeda was a cool character introduced in a horrible game. I wish he was an MK11 character first, but at least he’s in MK1 soon. I always wanted to use him, but I refuse to ever play MKX again so I’ve been patiently waiting.
Why did they ever move away from the fast paced 50/50 mix up based gameplay that this game had? Mk11 was okay imo but man I wish they would have stuck to what mkx was.

Whoever thought about not bringing Takeda back in MK11 deserves to be fired for that blunder. He was easily the most promising combat kid and he was in 1 game only. Thank heavens theyre bringing him back to MK1 but still.
Takeda was one of my mains and he's a blast to play. I was bummed out that he didn't return in MK11 but that turned out to be a blessing in disguise because he would've gotten nerfed like my other MKX main Kitana. Hopefully he's just as fun in MK1.
I have no doubt that Takeda will be fun but I’m over the nerfs and mediocre buffs all the characters need to be fun not just dlc characters. I’m over playing Mk1 I’ll probably still get the KP for the game but me playing this game as a mk fan is no more.
