- I'm just sharing my passion and enthusiasm for playing the flute in the style of Jethro Tull that was really brought to prominence by Ian Anderson and his tremendous skills.
Chris Wood was playing jazz, blues & rock on flute and sax in the early/mid 1960s. He was a founding member of Traffic a bit later (1967).
Wow, this is what I was looking for. I just played this video until it ran out.
The video is really cool, really top and useful, I will follow it Always, I'm waiting for the next video...
Don't forget to see my work, greetings!!👍💚
Yes! More Tull lessons, please!
He played the flute like it was a guitar going through a distortion pedal. Awesome stuff.
I have just taken up the flute again….after 40 years. Like you, Ian’s influence. I’m just beginning again, so I’m very much a beginner. I would like to learn how to play in a more rock and roll style when I’m better. Perhaps in a year. I will subscribe to your channel.
I just bought a flute, because of Tull. I'm more than familiar with "classical" music, and I love listen to it. However, I want to ROCK! So, thanks.
Very informative, i would believe the flute is the most underated instrument in rock!😎😎😎
Awesome sharing 👍🌸🌺🌼
Absolutely wonderful sharing! Thank you for sharing beautiful content with us! 20 Big like!👍
thank you! I love Tull and am trying to learn.
Absolutely awesome video, thank you for sharing And yes, we would love more lessons on how to play rock ‘n’ roll on our flute, especially Jethro Tull style.. I play the concert flute as well as the Native American flute. But I have not mastered the art of playing rock ‘n’ roll on the flute so, thank you so much . We would love more videos like this.

Nice!! Love to see/hear more.
I don't play any instruments and considered myself not musically-inclined but I find your explanations and demo interesting. My son is studying piano and maybe I could interest him to watch your videos too. Thanks for sharing your music wisdom and have a great weekend my friend. Cheers!
Very interesting explanations, man. I don't play the flute myself, but I love Jethro Tull. Thanks for your explanations!
Andy K was outstanding on flute but his playing style was more conventional. Absolutely loved Flute Thing when I heard it back in 1966.
Ian’s playing style was more aggressive & creative. Greater use of extended /advanced flute techniques
Wow superb i like it music great video 👍👍😇😍

Ian Anderson's flute playing was influenced by Mose Allison and Rahsaan Roland Kirk.
Serenade to a Cuckoo on Tull's 1st album is a Roland Kirk tune
Friend is full of talent.😍😁👍👏✨💓🌹

Woow que lindo sabes tocar la flauta gracias por compartir tus conocimientos saludos amigo🙏
Please do more of these!!!
Thank you. You are inspiring. I'm learning the flute again many... many years later. Can you help me with Swing Town by The Steve Miller Band?
How's it going David? Thanks very much for the kind words. The song that you suggested is actually one of my favorite tunes. Let me give it some repeated listens and I will definitely look into putting together a lesson once I've got the music transcribed for the flute. Cheers, Kash
Please make more JT videos!!!!
Woow
Thanks! That's a great reaction to my video and makes me feel encouraged.
Hi, for how long have you been playing the flute? Greetings from Serbia
Is the flute a good companion with a single piano? I was at an open mike and there was a solo piano player and we heard a flute accompany her but she was alone on stage.
It would be awesome if you could teach us his techniques to achieve his best effects on the flute
Just stand on one leg and you’ll be fine.
Terrible! Bad history of Rock flute!
Andy Kulberg of The Blues Project was before Ian Anderson
