This album is inspired by the Gameboy games from my childhood whose music had a huge influence on me (such as Zelda, Castlevania, Mario, Battletoads, Metroid and many more). This is the final song on the album, I'll probably be taking a break from producing 8-bit music for a while and moving on to other things. Thanks for all your support over the last year as I was working on this project!

Another song so absolutely familiar that it feels like a warm blanket while being completely new and clearly of your own creative vision. Bravo.
Thanks Kevin, that means a lot! 🙏
This dude has the best music I swear
You’re too kind my friend, thank you 💜🙏
Not the actual RUclips replying to me😎
Good editing + Good animation + Good music = Masterpiece ✨
Thanks so much! 💙
Everyone talking about the music, but the videos of every GLASYS original are insane!!
Thanks! I have John Thompson to thank for the awesome videography/editing on the last 3 videos (as well as others on my channel). Dude is a beast 😀
Wow! What an ending! I wasn’t expecting the upright! It sounds great and production quality/cinematography is on point!
legit unique effect that kept me interested -- also im amused by the idea of just having floating coins in your path that you collect joylessly and do nothing
Glasys is my favorite genre of RUclips content. And I listen to him on Spotify! But the visuals ain't worth missing either. Another amazing job, this piece! We love you, G!
Hey S P! Always appreciate you my friend, thanks so much! Hope you are well 🙏🙌
That's insane, I was already enjoying the music and then the piano part came, heavenly 😳
I’m glad you enjoyed it, thanks so much for the nice words 🙏😀
So there is this moment in "Pokey Means Business" form Earthbound where the low fidelity chip tunes give way to samples (granted also lo-fi ones but because of the contrast the effect is to over represent their realism). The turn is one of the most pumped moments in game music. This feels as though it captures a similar essence, but for an uplifting and soothing impression, where the emotions themselves become more real as the music itself makes a similar transition. Beautifully done.
Hey Andrew, thanks so much! Really appreciate your support on Bandcamp!🙏
I thought the 8bit was going to be a little intro for just another generic indie pop song. I loved this! Thanks
Loving seeing you flourishing on this channel.
Going for the coin was a dangerous move, the eggs were 1 second away from being burnt and becoming an inedible object!
Eating the eggs was the best part of shooting this video 😂
I keep coming back to this one. I absolutely love the harmonic decisions you made in this one man. That Chopin lick fits perfectly at the end there too.
You're making me fall in love with music again
That’s incredibly kind, thank you 💙🙏
Stellar work as usual! Love the thematic progression you did through the changes of instrumentation!
Thanks so much! 🙏💜
I love this, especially when the piano comes in. Every time I see you collect a coin I hear the sound effect in my head.
So good! I love the album and you've been killing it with these videos too!
Can't wait to hear what's next!
Thanks for all the support and encouragement my friend! Hope you’re well! 🙏
Even in this video game music genre, I cannot escape the beautiful Melodie’s you create. As a (ahem, 60 something year old ) man, Video games (and the sound scape they portray]>have never been my cup of tea. Just my personal preference. Every time you transition to an acoustic piano, I appreciate your obvious musical talent and gift for melody. That being said, even in the game boy mode, your sense of melody and contra puntal melody construction is so enjoyable that I have come to enjoy the whimsical sounds of video game versions of your compositions.. you write beautiful Melodie’s and I have come to enjoy them in whatever format you present them. Obviously,I look forward to hearing your work in an acoustic setting, but still thoroughly enjoy them in whatever form you share them with us. Cheers, and keep up the good work. It is appreciated.
Thank you John, that means a lot! I understand that chiptune is very much a generational thing, people my age grew up with games so we have a certain connection and nostalgia associated with that sound. I appreciate you listening anyway, thanks so much for the kind words 🙏
Sounds amazing, I'm falling in love with your musical visions.
I guess we're gonna have to expect an acoustic album next.
Great album, masterful. Really. Thank you.
Hey Matthew, thank you - I really appreciate that. An acoustic album sometime in the future is very likely :) 🙏
I hate RUclips at times for bombarding me with unnecessary clatter but videos like this when come recommended by the algorithm, I melt. Uno magnifico, artiste extraordinaire!
Thanks so much! I appreciate you being here 😀🙏
Thank you, this was a great start to my morning.
So glad you enjoyed it, thank you 🙏
Reminds me of the Take on Me music video, along all reminiscences from younghood, like 8-bit gaming... Superb music and video, as always.
Thank you Seiti! Glad you enjoyed it 🙏

Man thank you! Glad you like it 🙌🙏
👏👏👏
Woah this was so cool. I hope this video gets way more views
Thanks for the kind words John, appreciate it! 🙏
you deserve your own game!
So I just got a Gameboy color like I had when I was younger. And I forgot about all this old video game music as well as pixelation style. It's sure nostalgic
That’s awesome, I recently got a GB again and I’m slowly rebuilding my childhood game collection. So much fun
@@GLASYS Harry potter 2 for GBC was my first own video game. 🤣 lots of memories
I love the harmonies and melodies and would love it even more if it were executed with other sounds, although the ending section is best. Not against the Nintendo vibe and it is somehow fitting very well but I like more unusual sounds.
Hahaha love it soooo coool mind is on trip thx pleas make more
don't stop my friend.
what piano do you use? Also I love all your video game music (not the say I don't like the non-music ones haha, just that I adore them even more!). Continue the good work man!
Hey thanks so much! The piano sound comes from the Prophet XL, with some added fx in my DAW
que musica mais loca, que isso 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
What software do u use to compose? This sounds so amazing, you're SOOO GOOD ❤️❤️
Thanks so much for the kind words! I use Chipsounds, Retrologue, PAPU and others
Really nice, maybe overkill on the RC20 type effect on the piano though.
Cool Pixelated effect, which vid editor did you use?
🎵💜 M & D
This was done in Final Cut
@@GLASYS cool, I’ll have to see if LumaFusion has this effect. Great video editing!
🎵💜 M & D
Good grief, why haven't you done any Chrono Trigger covers? Don't tell me you don't love Chrono Trigger! lol to clarify, this really made me want to play Chrono Trigger again, even though the melody is only reminiscent of the game.
I only played Chrono Trigger once as a kid, I have very fond memories of it and it’s soundtrack so i’d like to cover something from it at some point :)
Congratulations! Great video! Now you can devote a little more time to learning how to make eggs!! ;)
Working on it, I keep forgetting the button combination!
Bro …. That was siiiiiiick … the acoustic piano in the end, it was really your prophet X wasn’t it ?
Thank you! Yes indeed :)
@@GLASYS love that patch with the ever so slight pitch wobble … it’s classic you
I keep getting Gil confused with Kratos in this vid
Kratos would never drop a banana though
Ah....
reminds me of the metroidvania Astalon Tears of the Earth. you might enjoy the game and soundtrack
I’ll check it out, thanks!
@@GLASYS great to hear
I really think you should highlight the style of video in the thumbnail
I tried, couldn’t find a frame I liked
Dude can you talk a bit or make a vid about modes you use? Modulation techniques, favourite chords, etc. I’m sooo curious.
I’ll try to do that more often, feel free to reach out with specific questions anytime!
@@GLASYS Sick! Thank you sir! I’ll try to make em good ones and not be a hassle. lol.
is this drums 8-bit?
Some are 8bit noise, some are samples

The worse looking SNES game in history. But the song is the best song in the worst looking SNES game in history
