  • In this video, I explain why the established, contemporary term "Single-Phase Electric Service" is NOT accurate, logical, or clear. My perspective in this matter will be made even more clear once I've posted my videos that disclaim the term "Three-Phase."
NEW terms introduced in this video:
    Single-Cycle
    Single-Cycle Electric Service
    Cycle/Revolution Graph
    Action-Part (for any given phase)
DISCLAIMER: I am NOT an electrician or a professional in any of the trades. Nor am I a teacher; I'm not qualified to teach ANYTHING to ANYONE. My goal is simply to share ideas that I've carried with me for decades. RUclips affords me the avenue through which to share them. Also, whenever doing ANY electrical work at home, TURN OFF the power FIRST.

More accurately, domestic electric service in the US is two phase service. Each is ~120VAC referenced to neutral and 180 degrees out of phase with the other. 240VAC is obtained across both ends (with no reference to neutral)
