They dont get that easy of a pass. They have to put in hours of hard work and training while risking injuries that could be with them for the rest of the lives. And they have to be an above average player while maintaining atleast average grades to even be able to play.

This funding comes from donations directly to the athletic facilities of LSU. The academic and athletic facilities are completely different entities, stop conflating them. At the end of the year, the money from the donations that is not spent on the athletic department is given to the school to use.

There's a poor kid studying at LSU who has a scholarship likely funded by some of the same people who donate to the football program, in facilities that are improved because of the excess revenue football generates. There's less poverty thanks to things like this, not more.

Ya this is why we need to stop guaranteeing student loans. If you're too poor too afford college and you cant get scholarships that is truly, truly unfortunate but you need to just go get a job. Itll be better and unless you go stem which you probably wont, it's only about 5-10% of degrees, your just gonna start at an entry level job that you didnt need to go to college for more than likely. But going into crippling debt so these giant(I mean that litterally) assholes can play football for 4 more years and probably not make it to the NFL.
