Awesome. Definitely a keeper. Starts off with a keyboard sound that reminds me of "If you are in heaven" and then takes a totally different direction from there. Fantastic.
Good to hear new music again. The guitar riff makes me instantly think of Depeche Mode. Anyone else feeling the correlation? Can't wait to hear more stuff!
First of all, let me just say how friggin much it means to have new stuff from you, it's almost like christmas, only, you know, better! Been kinda hoping for this moment to come, love all your music. Ok sorry, now for the actual comment part, sounding real good so far, maybe messing around with the synths some more would be nice, and that guitar has some great potential and perhaps a grittier, dirtier quality to it would suite the vocals even better? That's my two cents anyway, keep up the work!
Hi die hard Vast fan here... Love it!!! I would be ever so happy to get some more violins like the "Music for people album"!!! Come on... Jon.. you are a prodigy with the strings!!! Originality in my opinion... Very great music so far.. keep it up!!! - Jason C in Colorado ..
Awesome song Jon - love the riff at 50sec. My fav song out of the releases this week but with that being said there is no such thing as a bad Vast song.
Hey Jon, long time VAST fan and also write my own material too. I really enjoy the raw approach in this one, tying in so many different sonically inspired fronts with that nice guitar riff. Maybe some constructive criticism...some more dissonance added to it would give it another interesting layer. Keep it up! Liking this approach
Incredible. Sounds like Turquoise & Crimson mixed with the Relay EP, with a new and rejuvinated sound as well. And I agree that the guitar sounds just like Martin Gore of Depeche Mode. Jon, I pray that this makes it to whatever the final product will be...but please don't change it too much. It's damn near perfect.
I quite like this track, it's probably the most recognisably VAST and it packs a bit of a punch. I think it's promising, but the first guitar line in the chorus almost makes it sound like a parody. The subject matter is probably not the sort of stuff that motivates me to listen to VAST music, either, but that's another story.
jon - MORE PERCUSSIVE LOOPS during the verse for this type of synth-driven beat. just like olden VAST... a great beat backed up by percussive loops that enhance its intensity. loooong time, no see Jon! - m@x AKA DeepOceanVastSea on AIM. get in touch and keep writing!
The volume ranges are bit odd. The over all idea is great though. I just did not like how quite it started. It was a little too quite for the heightened volume that came shortly after. Also the ranges of volume differences are off. Frequencies my be too but I am not expert. I just listen to the gf talk about making music and pick up the basics. I say bring up the vocal volumes and work on the pitch a bit.

Beautiful. Even brought a few tears.

This is my fav...I woke up with it playing in my head! xx
This guitar is one of the best riffs yet for VAST. Still patiently waiting to buy the new album when it's done!
I'm already addicted to listening to this amazingly awesome song... :) Love it!
I dig it. I think this song could use a few of your signature yells.

cool! I just found out about this. As a non-musician, I like hearing the rough cuts, it makes me feel a bit more invested in the process.
Sounds great!
Que música más buena 👌
SO GOOD.
Great, thanks a lot !

Love when the guitar goes from the acoustic twang to electric rock.
Love it ! Hope it means a new album is around the corner not that I still don't listen to all the others but something new would be great!
Good to hear some new stuff. Awesome!
I love it!
Love

So good, reminds me so much of Turquoise era.
Really like this one

Maybe bring up the volume of the opening lyrics, but as it's the first draft I can imagine you've already got that in hand. Keep up the amazing work.

Im lovin it
Definitely put this on the album. It's one of the stronger, pumping songs of the new ones. The vocals could be up a tad more
God dammit! This it's awesome, put in the new album, i like all you music john crosby really, put in the album PLS
Great!
nice! and yes, just bring those vocals up
i Like IT a LOT
Nice sound, love the guitar, but the vocal lacks emotion to match the music. I'm looking forward to hearing the finished work. :)
This one I like.

Probably. This is just a rough demo.

It feels very Trent Reznor/NIN to me. ...i like it...but ...idk...
The song in itself is good. But releasing a shitty sounding 'demo' like this is just a bad move IMO.
