To be honest, wouldn't be surprised if it was like a cheap car, or his father's old car that he passed down to his son. A lot of these dope-ass cars people have are project cars they worked on as kids and that's where all their mechanical knowledge came from

In 2009 I bought a 6 year old 911 Carerra 4 (996 series) for $15k. Had a pro shop do the body work and paint it and got it back a YEAR later! Good find and good job.
My dad bought a brand new base 2003 Carrara convertible when he had a bit of a mid life Crisis. I believe it was $80k or so. My dad let me drive it once by myself to a senior dinner. Sold in around 2011 for $25,000. Had maybe 12,000 miles on it. Should have just kept it.

Worked at the Manheim auction for years. The best place to buy a used car cheaper than anywhere. If you can’t afford a supercar just get a job there, and you’ll get to drive multiple at least a dozen times a week

Ed, why do so many people don’t understand how to pronounce Porsche
I'm not sure that it is that they don't know how to pronounce it so much as pronouncing it the correct way sounds pretentious, and when you are young an own a Porsche people already treat you a certain way and you don't want to feed into it. (I am speaking from experience)

What a find! What a story! I love this so much. NOT THAT YOU WOULD, but thanks to the color and the fact that it's a 2nd gen 997 - you could probably turn around and sell this for $55K+ even with the PDK and the damage record. My fav car too, by the way. I own the same one in Carrara White. Heaven on earth.
