I have been hunting artifacts before I could spell it. Grew up on a truck patch farm with a Great Uncle, a pure country man. He was a artifact addict! My chores are piling up. Haven't even got all my wood split for winter! We haven't had much water and it's been very productive on a large creek near me. I been trying to deer hunt but when I get near the creek, my eyes go to the cut bank and shoal areas. Some people wouldn't understand that I guess. I love seeing you fellers score! I usually learn something on each video.
I have done some probing on a lake bed and we used those four pronged garden cultivators with the tines straightened like a little fork. You can poke four holes at a time and cover a lot more territory.
I read the comments and I don't like to repeat what's already been said but I've gotta say the editing was topnotch Spike 👍👍 I learned awhile back from your videos that probing works to find old gravel bars in creeks and it's working well plus I've learned that a worked piece of stone can make a distinctly different sound, but I still dig everything 😉 Great finds guys PS; has Matthew ever broken a tip or a camera 😂
Repeat all you want to. We never get tired of reading compliments. I don't know that he's ever broken a tip but so far he hasn't damaged any cameras lol. Thanks.
A good friend of mine, god rest his soul, the first time we went point hunting was to look for the rise when looking in fields. This guy was a points worst nightmare! I swear he could find a point on the moon if he could get a ride there!
20 years ago I used to use a probe to find bottles and bottle dumps. Definitely makes a distinctive sound when you hit a bottle. I'm guessing Flint is the same way compared to Sandstone
My entire property where I hunt exclusively….is on a rock!! I’ve tried some probing , but this hilly mountaintop is all stone. Nice video guys, I’ll keep sifting the overhang spots and walking the creeks after big weather events here. Thanks for sharing
@HeartbreakerRelics I'll be using a solid wood broom, so my question is how long does my rod need to be and how far down the broom handle do I need to hammer the rod in? I can always use my grinder to make a point after hitting it.. Thanks
Great vifeo! Enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing! Been to busy ranching and farming to do any artifact hunting. But i still stumble onto points and things as i work.
No buttermilk for me either but I do like cornbread and milk lol and I'm with you on the artifacts. Always a pleasure to hear from you Jack. Good luck to yall up there.
The short answer is no. The more surface area you have, more points on a probe (fork) or a blade, the more resistance you have pushing it into the ground and the less penetration you get.
Have y’all considered making a 3 or 4 prong probe with a single on other end. Similar to spikes rack probe. More points More holes, more holes more points
Love your hunts! Question?!? Have any of you boys learned how to nap? If I’m spelling it correctly. If so it would make a fun video with friendly competition!!! 😊
It seems viable to me that this probe can work in a sandy place, where there is no stone so that the stone it hits will almost certainly be a point. Here with us it is even more reliable to search on the surface. The places where we search have a lot of small stones under the sand and in other places under the sand it is very hard. Soon we will dig to see different options. According to the characteristics of the area, it will be the way we search. Greetings to my friends and the tips they found are my favorites because of the type of stem and base.
Why are there so many arrowheads? Why didnt the indians go get the arrows that they shot to use over again? I always try to find any of the arrow with arrowheads that I shoot, I dont leave them. Why did the indians leave their arrows on the ground after they shot?
Most of what you see are actually used up knives or dart/spear points. We are hunting campsites and apparently they didn't put a lot of value on tools. They left a lot behind every time they moved. They probably weren't the best housekeepers either and lost a lot in the leaves.
Matthew do you sleep with one eye open!!!😂😂😂 Them boys are going to leave you tied in the woods one day with meat hanging around your neck. Just playing !!!! Love the videos.
Well as always good stuff guys .. and another fire outro tune and i didn't have to ask by what artist since Spike set me str8 on his top notch description skills 😊 Really enjoying this duo team being on the channel as well. They crack me up. 💯🔥🤘✌️🫶

Thanks and thanks for the great comment. That's the way we all are too. Eyes always to the ground.

When they are sitting on top of a dirt pedistal, it is so sweet.👍

Always liked the choice of background music, so peaceful!!
Thanks.
Great video! Them jokers sure find em!
Thanks Will. That's because they are always after them lol.
@@HeartbreakerRelics I know. If we had fields down here, you and I could be giving them a run for their money. 🤣
always happy when i see a new heartbreaker relics episode! God Bless you guys!
You just made my day. Wish we could put out one every day!
Good Vidaaayyooo! I think that last one with the tip gone is karma for Matt hitting those points on the camera! 😂 lol. Some beauty's tho!
Thanks and I agree.
good to see all the great arrowheads and good to see you Spike
Thanks!
Yet another great video!! Can’t wait to see you and randy again haha

I have seen this three times. Thank You.
Wow, thank you! We're glad you enjoyed it.
Those Ole boys have really loaded them up this year!
They sure have. Thanks for stopping by John.
Great video as usual. I still would've liked to have seen Mr. Matt give that turtle a kiss lol. We have those big velvet ants up here in NC too.
I think if we can get enough likes on a video we'll be able to get him to kiss a turtle lol.
Good job Brothermen ! Hope all is good with Randy & you to Spike!
Thanks. We're healing but old men heal slow lol.

Another great video guys! I have got to make a probe.
Thanks and good luck.
nice fines killer video
Thanks!

Good point. This technique doesn't work everywhere. It is our pleasure. Thanks for watching and for the great comment.
You guys make awesome videos and are masters of finding the stuff in and under water. Heck, digging in the middle of the woods!! Pretty impressive.
@HeartbreakerRelics

All work and no play Mike! lol
@@HeartbreakerRelics our work is play, evem on days of super hard work.
I Was never like my grandparents, didn’t like cornbread and buttermilk but, I sure like Native American artifacts.
No buttermilk for me either but I do like cornbread and milk lol and I'm with you on the artifacts. Always a pleasure to hear from you Jack. Good luck to yall up there.
No, no, no, for me either, but I love Artifact hunting
Loved the video! Gives me an urge to go visit Jeremy!
Thanks Kim. Me too. Hopefully it won't be too long and we can get over there with yall.
Never disappointed lots of good points thanks for the video
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it.
11:09 wingless wasp. Bad boy.
Yes they are.
I wonder if a wider probe, shaped more like an axe head, or a fork, might be better? Many times the area, same amount of probing.
The short answer is no. The more surface area you have, more points on a probe (fork) or a blade, the more resistance you have pushing it into the ground and the less penetration you get.
I may just have to try that. I ought to work in a field planted in grass
It works as long as there isn't a lot of other rocks around and if the ground is soft enough to get a probe into it.
Fixing to cut the beans here in south central ky I’m ready ti get out and look
Good luck!
Have y’all considered making a 3 or 4 prong probe with a single on other end. Similar to spikes rack probe. More points More holes, more holes more points
Yes, I've considered it but with more points you get less penetration.
Great song in the beginning. Who is it by?
Thanks. The music credits are listed in order in the description.
Always look forward to these uploads. Awesome footage as always!
Thanks. Those guys do a great job getting some really good footage to work with.
Some nice finds using unconventional means!
We've discovered that every area presents it's own challenges requiring different techniques.
Love your hunts! Question?!?
Have any of you boys learned how to nap? If I’m spelling it correctly. If so it would make a fun video with friendly competition!!! 😊
Mike with PineBeltRelics does a really good job knapping but the rest of us have never really practiced it.
I have but Mike's are WAY better than mine!

You are right. In areas with lots of stone it isn't helpful at all. Take care my friend.
18:00 I’m getting hot just listening to those cicadas
Wear some metal golf spikes and just feel and listen
Why are there so many arrowheads?

you are going to break your screan... or your screan protector. i love the arrow heads though
I tried to tell him that lol.
😎🏹
Id be mad as hell if he broke a tip of mine hitting that camera the way he does!!!!! 😅😮😢😅
😂 they're his points
Soybean field?
Peanuts and beans
Probing for arrowheads in a field full of rocks!? Get lost
Yep, that won't work.
