I played against a top tier crystal beast deck.. it was actually very good and strong I think I have a saved video playing against it. Had lots of interruptions and negations 👍
@@shanecaraker4965 I'm fairly certain that's not how it works. Mirrojade says "when this card leaves the field because of an opponents card", so it can't possibly be activated on field. If you activate abyss dweller, then you send your opponents mirrojade to grave, your opponent won't be able to activate it's effects due to dweller
It's genuinely just a risk you should be willing to take. Shifter is so crippling to a bunch of decks. So many meta decks rely heavily on the GY this format so having that disruption is just too good not to take advantage of
Think about it this way. If you open it turn 1 going first or second you basically shut down your opponents turn. If you open it turn 2 going second you can prevent your opponent from using certain handtraps against you like droll, and it can make their follow up turn harder to play as they're still under shifter
I’m a crystal beast player and if I draw him starting hand going first or secound than I just use him immediately because you can actually play through Cards being banished
Crystal Beasts can function under Shifter. Not ideal but you can and it's a turn skip vs gy heavy decks (Branded, Snake Eyes, Voiceless Voice etc). CB need time to set up. It's a risk worth taking. If not, Exosisters love Shifter, and punish GY reliant decks. Cheaper to pick up now that Pax and Magnifica got reprints.

Top 16 in a local of 20 people
Mirrorjade activates on field when destroyed and just resolves in grave in the end phase so I don’t think dweller negates it but overall good list

Why no kashtria fenir or Crystal conclave
Ban Kashtira. That archetype is trash and bullshit.
Good Build. I personally prefer Ash in the side deck.
Why Dimension Shifter? As soon as you use one spell card he becomes useless and you play a bunch of spells in crystal beasts.

33% chance to turn skip your opponent

Top 16 where and at which event?
He says at a local in the beginning of the video so it really doesn’t matter after that lol.
