I think revising guides like this is a very useful thing that will encourage the player community to subscribe to your channel and prioritize your guides over others. Obviously how much this benefits you will depend on how large and healthy the playerbase ends up being.
This game has THE deepest crafting system, I do a lot of cooking IRL and the recipes in game are pretty damn close to actual cooking. Sashimi is a staple for me as my manor is on a little island with a herd of deer less than 100 meters from the house. I press the lesser fish type into oil and use the higher tier one for the meat. Any non-fish recipes, the deer herd supplies me with endless meat as they respawn in minutes.
That sounds like a totally picteresque base there eloquent! 👌 I do a fair bit of cooking myself as well and really the attention to detail is top notch here :D
@@TenebrisInfinite The only downside is the Carnute never gets near my little island to rejuvenate trees, so I only harvested the plants and saplings and left as many trees as possible. Nightingale is the only game other than 7 Days to Die where I can go out fighting and come home to cook or tinker on the workbench for a bit and enjoy the peace and quiet. Watching the sunset while fishing, or making bread and wandering around my manor is relaxing after fighting/exploring, my own little piece of heaven.
This channel really does have the best guides out there! Suggestion for people later in game when they have a 230 sickle, swap the potato seeds for T5 Desert Fiber seeds (adds another 0.5 to stamina regen) - don't change anything else though (like keep the potato salad).
These are stellar guides. I have been crafting Gazpacho and Perfect Steak as my main foods. I can't wait till your vid on moving things to different realms more efficiently.
Its going to be coming very soon with a build! It'll be interesting to see which build you folks pick as I'll be holding a live vote here on RUclips, so stay tuned for that my dude :D
For 0.3 with the new soft cap, Sashimi will start capping out health regen around 550/min. You can hit that pretty much with just the Prismatic Pupfish itself. Sanguine Berries oil will add 94 points of instability. I think at this point look at the secondary stats on the oil and see what else you can stack on it.
Haha told you all i was making the best sashimi in the game! But absolutely i plan to revise a few recipes here for 0.3, as long as the devs dont put out another major update before i can get to it :D
Farming Harpies can be done on a L160 Hunt Swamp (either Normal Extreme, or Ascended Hard). Just fight Humbaba and lure him to a POI building that he can't get into. When he's lowish on health he'll keep summoning harpies. Even though the harpies disolve after you kill them, if you hit them a few times with the knife, they still fling out harvestables. If you use normal Hunter you don't need crits to do damage as well.
Absolutely! Only thing i'd correct for farming harpies from humbaba is that it must be done in ascended hunt only now, as regular hunt only reaches 140 on extreme now in the game :D
Off topic first: Did you finish your Fabled Eoten Wood grind yet? Having all these stats on the food takes me back to my WoW and later ESO days, always on the hunt for the epic buff foods to be able to take on bosses. Man, I tell you, that's one of the things I love most in video games. Really gotta stock up on essence to buy all the recipes and stations
Hahah no not yet brother, the grind has been real though! Up to like 50 something 💪 And man its where you really see the MMO roots of this game, cooking is very mmo like and i really enjoy it, adds alot of variety to survival games and the usually straight forward cooking! Cheers man, we'll get ya there some day, no need to rush in this one :D
Hey Saraba, i thought i'd go the extra mile here and do some quick testing for you since i haven't actually tested it myself. So there are three cards i thought of, quarry forge and weighted, forge had no effect as halite is not counted as an ore, so then came quarry which upped the base rates which was cool, but then when using oberons bounty it added some really low rolls that made it not so cool and less efficient, then with weighted, it made a small difference in drops but again introduced low rolls to oberons. So what i'd say is best for now is just using oberons bounty, no cards needed, which is nice as you'll need to reset your salt realms every once in a while :) Cheers, i know this is a info dump, but hopefully it helps! :D
@@TenebrisInfinite No.. This is Great.. THANK you. I also have the charm of Mining on my gloves and boots. so.. Im not sure that is helping with the salt . and I just put Oberons bounty on.. so.. CHEERS!! :) thanks man
Is there a secret to fishing for those pupfish? I got a pond in the desert that has the fish but it takes so many casts for any fish to bite. My normal strategy is to cast, wait 5 seconds and recast if nothing hits.
So we dont have raw numbers, but from my own testing the Cairn reaches around 125 meters, maybe a bit more. The transmuter seems to be around 75 meters, havent tested the fairie ring yet but i figure the cairn is the best bet over all :D
@@TenebrisInfinite pretty sure it was in 0.2 as well they fixed delphinium fairly quickly, now if they would just fix vegetable (onion) to be able to make spice like I found some of because it gives 25 health too.
I don't get why you would make Sushimi, health regen is totally useless (healing spell instead?) and 10 health/second with a healthpool of 2400 isn't going to do much. Just make Nectar or something ....
Because it gives you more options, not only needing to rely on one source of hp recovery and possibly freeing up your ability to move from one fight to the next without stopping to recover. Though the time save is minimal, it adds up over a long hunting trip. As well, it gives you an easy good food source to eat between the wellington/gazpacho, which then can be used more as buffs than food sources. Of course you can always carry plain old cooked meat, but the passive recovery actually is pretty useful when you use it!
@@TenebrisInfinite but you would need literally 5 minutes to refill your full HP with health regen and you can actually cast while running (thus speeding up with the appropriate Charm). It also prevents you from using some other food (second beef wellington with different recipe should stack).
Laughing at how mediocre my food is compared to this stuff. :) I don't really farm-farm, so it's all stuff I can just gather in the environments, water spinach salads, aloe cape oil, so much bug meat because they seem to be everywhere... :)
Totally this food is pretty much overkill, but the power of face tanking sun giant attacks on extreme is kinda cool! I'll maybe try to set up some more simple farms in the future though as these can be a grind to get together :)

Awesome guide
Good video, only one point that you might need to adjust in the video... Jana gives now only fabled humbaba T2 meat..

You can save salt and get more health regen by seasoning meat with delphinium spice for wellington.
