I figured out the identity of SCP-001. It's the Anon that posted the original SCP-173 entry to 4chan. Without them, the Foundation would've never existed.
Let’s be honest here. The world of the SCP Foundation is just so sad. Yeah, it’s horrifying. Nightmare inducing, terrifying, torturous, hellish, painful, just hurt and panic and lies and betrayal But the fates of some of these poor people are beyond all that. They’re just soul crushingly depressing. Think of how Robert Scranton, 451 and 231-7 feel. And Bright isn’t evil, he’s horribly depressed too cause he just can’t die
I think the Universe of the SCP Foundation takes us to the other side of the bridge and makes us think how the world would be if humanity wasn't the most advanced and evolved race on Earth, meaning we would need sacrifices and people willing to study such anomalies/entities always knowing they could die at any seconds. If the Foundation was known globally a lot of problems in our society would end because we all would think about our safety and life.
Mankind in its present state has been around for a quarter of a million years, yet only the last 4,000 have been of any significance. So, what did we do for nearly 250,000 years? We huddled in caves and around small fires, fearful of the things that we didn't understand. It was more than explaining why the sun came up, it was the mystery of enormous birds with heads of men and rocks that came to life. So we called them 'gods' and 'demons', begged them to spare us, and prayed for salvation. In time, their numbers dwindled and ours rose. The world began to make more sense when there were fewer things to fear, yet the unexplained can never truly go away, as if the universe demands the absurd and impossible. Mankind must not go back to hiding in fear. No one else will protect us, and we must stand up for ourselves. While the rest of mankind dwells in the light, we must stand in the darkness to fight it, contain it, and shield it from the eyes of the public, so that others may live in a sane and normal world.

I miss the times when I'd come home from school, load up my PC, go to The SCP Wiki, hear about 106 and stay up all night. Or when I'd invite my friends over and we'd act a full blown containment breach. We're getting old. This song was released 9 years ago.
"In the end, the Foundation staff aren't murderers and madmen. They're just people doing their part to protect the world. However, this doesn't change the fact that in the end, many of their actions are immoral and unjust: at the very least, the fact that many humanoid SCPs are being imprisoned against their will simply for what they are should give one pause. Do the ends justify the means? We don't know. And that is the big question that every reader of the Foundation Wiki will have to answer for themselves in the long run." ~ Dr. Clef, "The Foundation And Evil"
This song seems like what would play in like the ending cutscene after you escape the facility it gives off that feeling that "you've won, but have you really?"
"Don't be afraid, this is a dream. One of the last dreams you'll ever have. For the nightmares are coming." "I wouldn't want to wake up, but unfortunately, you must."
Yes, because the things they contain will destroy the entirety of the world if left alone, while they just capture them. They cause MUCH more good than harm
that is depending on the time I get i'd probably have a youtube red series not really a TV show but you know and i'd probably include this song at the end as the credits role and depending on till I actually want to enforce it as a thought if I would make a youtube red series when making youtube vids

This theme is just so nostalgic. It reminds me of when SCP didn't have all those animation channels trying to make money off it. Just some passionate writers trying to make something larger than themselves
@@thisaccountwashacked666I know understand you meant but the community over the years didn't just want to be on the "scary" category, remember an SCP is simply an anomaly, it doesn't have to be scary just yet mysterious and interesting enough, hence why there are strict rules on how to write an SCP/Tale Tales etc are a huge part that tells a bigger story in the SCP Universe and they are somehow way more ignored than popular scps
"Our job is impossible. We are only humans, trying to contain things beyond our comprehension. We cannot do it. But the Foundation can. The only thing we have to protect humanity isn't human. It is a machine, a never ending worker. And its job is impossible."
yeah, but there’s a license so they have to go to every scp creator to get permission or make their own. plus disney owns 99% of American tv networks and companies so they would either turn it into a superhero thing, or not make it dark like sl and cb

this song conveys so much emotion, it’s amazing, really. It encapsulates the bitter sweetness of the Foundation and the lack of empathy for others that might have been considered “life”, while also touching on the sci-fi inspirations on the last half of the song. This song fits so well in the context of the bleak black and white world the SCP universe is set in. It’s an amazing song overall, although the last part was a bit off in the mood it was short enough to not influence much in the rest of the song.
For me it represents the never ending struggle the foundation faces, to forever defend/separate humanity and the anomalous less they destroy each other or themselves. To preserve normality at any cost, to keep humanity alive at any cost, they die in the dark so we can all live in the light.
When SCP-096 Breaks Containment WARNING SCP 096 HAS BREACHED THE CONTAINMENT NTF guy : Don't view his face also He is scared of us NTF : *Points gun at SCP 096* SCP :096: rip
The bittersweetness of this song reminds me of that 4channer who invented the entire SCP universe and fandom off a single post, but nobody will ever know who he/she is. Edit: Never mind that, I suppose he did make his presence known on the SCP Wiki after all. I figured that if even if he tried to claim he was the original creator, people would just assume he was another imposter.
This is acceptance or fatality. You feel like someday it'll end, when? Where? You don't know and it doesn't matter. You need to push on for the longest time of all
*An important note for all of you who was listening to this short piece all this time!* Thank you a lot. I really can't believe this became popular enough to feature in Google and for you to listen to this. I want to provide some information for you about making of this piece. For now, this style is a bit of old shame to me, since I never actually gave attention to little details and just piled up various things which I considered dark and atmospheric. I was a beginning musician and a fan of dark ambient (Depressive Silence, Coph Nia, Bad Sector), as well as post-industrial bands like Coil, Current 93, early Spiritual Front, Triarii, at the time I was making this song. My interests shifted a lot over the course of years, as you can judge by my recent works. This was actually my debut in Russian SCP branch and my little computer album made me some of the first audience. Unfortunately, I am not interested in SCP like I was before, but I still remember you guys and girls. To make the Main Theme, four people were assembled together in a social network conference, but I ended up doing all the job. It was greatly inspired by then-favourite artists, as well as minimalist music (La Monte Young and Philip Glass with his process music are the closest) and - yes, soundtrack from Black Mesa. At this moment, I want to apologize before you all for not posting sheet music - I just consider it old shame, not worthy pulling on sheets. Instead, I will now share the source of this song, untreated and uncut. If you do not have some synths or sound libraries used, just replace them with what you like. Download a FL Studio project file here: mega.nz/#!UJcXCSCK!zPR7wz8fXTwJ0nSN6g26XpGbpxPi_zU3jV_Q6cOT6X4 *Software used:* FL Studio 9 (or 8, I forgot) 32bit (opens best in 32bit, 64bit always freezes) Kontakt 4 *VST:* TruePianos 2 Broomstick Bass (with bass piano samples) Rob Papen Albino 3 Addictive Drums Linplug Organ 3 Tone2 Saurus Edirol Orchestral (not sure I even used it) *Libraries:* EWQL Symphonic Strings *Other materials:* Industrial sound pack (welding, electric buzzing, big metal gate, rolling cart) If you really want, I will remake this song, with less synths and more real instruments, since now I have a nice collection of them. Once again, thank you all. Stay on the road, and never forget about this little channel. P.S. I am greatly sorry for not responding to your comments. This song needs reworking, I just feel it's not so praiseworthy for now.
KaL Rynzler I actually don't like Hanz Zimmer that much, he is overrated, imo. Or I just don't like sampled music, but then, some other trailer music companies do it better.

Reasonable considering we're a vile race but logically if u feared something and had power and were in a position of divine origin you'd want to use it to get rid of what u feared right? Think about it.
this is so nostalgic. Reminds me of when i first discovered the SCP stuff. Of course, as old as time itself, it started with 173. This fits what I thought of the foundation then, and it still does.
I love how halfway through you've been hit with the melancholic piano piece, but then the tech sounds start up and it feels really dark, like "Yeah, it might be sad, but you've got to do what you've got to do."
No the god in the scp univurse is 343 badicely God object class is safe he created the scp univurse well his not the same God as we have in real life by the way im catholicim going to church later actualy
I don't know if this is the best? But it's definitely excruciatingly high on the list of candidates, it's hard to beat the creepy menu theme for containment breach though.
The SCP games and wiki have shaped my childhood, from playing fan made games off of ROBLOX to actually playing and beating the actual game is heartwarming in my opinion, but this melody reminds me of "No matter how hard you try to hide something it will always come to the light" Amazing Genre
"Let me tell you of a time... a time, when humanity didn't have us. A time, when there was only darkness in store for humanity, when all seemed impossible for our kind. But in such dark times, a golden light is awaken, the Foundation. Humanity First, that was the only rule. A handful of people who decided to put humanity above everything else, and decided that to ensure humanity's survival, sacrifices had to be made... Humanity First, always. We fight in the darkness, so that you may live. We die in that darkness, but we're all willing to do so, because humanity comes always first." -Field Operative, ████ █████.
I feel this song is made with more detail than some may give it credit. As we can clearly hear, it is split into 3 unique movements, each with its own theme and mood. The song slowly builds from the beginning, as if new complexities are being added to the containment process with each new instrument. The first, entirely piano section, is a somber, dark section, as though representing the “Secure” part in SCP. Securing the anomaly can be incredibly dangerous, especially considering the operatives in action are sometimes walking in blindly. The middle section adds snare drums to the mix, changing the mood as if a new level of control has been added to the situation, representing the “Contain” part of the acronym. During this, the Foundation has the control it needs to experiment and understand, thus explaining the continuation of the darker piano themes as the presence of death has not differed from the previous stage. The third and final section appears to represent the “Protect” part of SCP, as this is where things truly seem to get complicated. Despite all the Foundation’s vast resources and widespread influence, sometimes the strength of man is still not enough to hold back the anomaly. Sometimes, even, the strength of man is used against the Foundation. Things get truly complicated as groups like the Chaos Insurgency, the Church of the Broken God, the Serpent’s Hands, and many more directly oppose the Foundation’s goal. Some organizations like these even become powerful enough to rival the Foundation, like the GOC terminating anomalies, or the Chaos Insurgency raiding facilities. Thus, the stringy-rubber band sounds of the final act, as things become unpredictable and increasingly difficult for the Foundation.
SCP-5000 is the opposite of that motto of the Foundation. "We die in the dark so you can live in the light." "We live in the light so you can die in the dark."
"To the North and East of Fort Drum is a small, unmarked extension of the military reservation that goes up and into the mountains. If you asked any of the soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division what was up there, they'd tell you 'nothing.' And 99.9% of them would be telling the truth, as far as they knew. But a few select officers and administrators know that there is an area that they are not to plan operations in, conduct patrols near, or have aircraft of any type fly over. On the surface, an inconspicuous building and communications tower, easily hidden away in the mountains and dense vegetation of the area, would seem like nothing to have noticed- a power station or communications relay. But under the noses of the United States Military, a private organization with no accountability or lines of authority what-so-ever to the government operates an expansive facility that stretches almost 9,000 feet below the surface and miles into the mountains. Here, in this unmarked, unregistered, unknown subterranean fortress, the world almost ends about three times a week, and no one on the outside ever knows a god-damn thing about it."
"Were the Scp foundation We are unkown but the barrier protecting people lile you We protect you from monsters that can kill or manipulate you Yet we have to make costly sacrafices to protect you From the monsters that lurk in the dark and trying to come in the light And still, although we can protect people like you from anything Some things in the dark we cant protect you from and it will be costly None the less We are the scp foundation We capture the monsters We contain them for you to live comfortably We protect you from monsters that lurk in the darkness" Thank you who ever read this, I got the idea from a comment but I cant find that comment tho, but anyways thank you from that comment and thank you guys for reading it
hey mind if every time you listen to this song just imagine the stuff people inside of the foundation have to deal with researchers are usually the first to see what scps can do, the results can traumatize them (scp obliterates d boi, flesh, bone fragments, and blood splattered everywhere) security detail, all fine and dandy but the fact a breach could happen and they're the first to respond is scary you're just chilling and then a major breach event occurs, you'd probably get scared because who knows what breached and what it could do to you mtf are the ones who see all the carnage unfold though they jump into a life threatening situation willingly risking their lives just to put this creature away into its cell and to mention the bodies that would be laying on the ground or the scene unfolding during a major breach seeing all this stuff would traumatize a person i mean it's depressing knowing what these people go through sorry bout the ted talk lol

However, there are and will always be things very own to this world which we may never understand. Objects,Beings,Places and Events which seem strange, unexplainable, scary. The rocks with faces on them, the giant birds in the sky,the large metal cubes and invisible men are just a few of these anomalies. WE ARE SCP. We secure and contain such anomalies so that you may be protected to live and thrive. We are unseen, yet all around you. We are unthanked, yet know our duty. Camera travels through a bright corridor with a black rubber floor and a white tiled ceiling, past people in white cloaks and people in white-and-grey body armor carrying rifles. Camera stops at a large white airlock door with the SCP logo on it's center and a small touchscreen on it's right. A hand is seen typing the code "2007" on the touchscreen. The touchscreen emits a beeping sound. The airlock door creaks, levers and valves on it move and turn for four seconds. The door emits a loud clang, then slowly opens to the left.] END OF SCENE 1 EDIT: Thanks for the Likes and compliments, everyone! The first half is kind of deep, it feels like a personnel thinking about his career, about the evil that the Foundation had done. The second half, the music begins to pick up, it is the same person thinking, "Everything we do is for the greater good. Secure. Contain. Protect."
The description of the second part is spot on, as it sounds very sinister in a way (Depends on how you see it I guess). By justifying the evil the foundation had done in the past, he proved the evil within himself, the evil that lies within all human beings.

'One bad day can drive a man do the unthinkable, but the people here at the foundation, they're a different story'
- Jason James todd

The SCP Foundation has always had sort of a... depressing-sacrificial-hero sort of vibe to it. This music hits me right in the feels, it's PERFECT.
Well they sacrificed (i think) multiple MTF Squads to take out MTF Codename: Insurgency.
this song conveys so much emotion, it’s amazing, really.

*An important note for all of you who was listening to this short piece all this time!*
Thank you a lot.

We die in that darkness, but we're all willing to do so, because humanity comes always first."

Which article was this from? (Couldn't find it in Scp-000)
hey mind if every time you listen to this song just imagine the stuff people inside of the foundation have to deal with
researchers are usually the first to see what scps can do, the results can traumatize them
(scp obliterates d boi, flesh, bone fragments, and blood splattered everywhere)
security detail, all fine and dandy but the fact a breach could happen and they're the first to respond is scary
you're just chilling and then a major breach event occurs, you'd probably get scared because who knows what breached and what it could do to you
mtf are the ones who see all the carnage unfold though
they jump into a life threatening situation
willingly risking their lives just to put this creature away into its cell
and to mention the bodies that would be laying on the ground or the scene unfolding during a major breach
seeing all this stuff would traumatize a person
i mean it's depressing knowing what these people go through
sorry bout the ted talk lol
It's actually the MTF who first sees and witnessess the Anomalies and almost always they barely survive every expedition
In my opinion, wouldnt researchers be mentaly trained to handle this kind of situation
Its fake tho
And the D bois knowing their death will happen soon.
@@eletrixace not really apparently if this was a real foundation people say that they would be a high rate of sucide in scientist even when prepared for this

Brother this is great this really shows how much horror theme songs have evolved
The Administrator said “Combatives go straight to heaven, because they already visited hell.” So, the hell was inside SCP Foundation?
indeed it was. and also the stuff they had to contain, and bring into the foundation. some even say it was worse than hell.
Boy it *was*
The foundation *is* hell.
The scp foundation is the hell
hey pls dont swear my kid goes on here
The first scene of a hypothetical SCP Foundation movie:
SCENE 1
[Overhead Projector shows a slideshow detailing human evolution and great moments in history on a concrete wall in a darkened room.
A typewriter writes in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen:]
"[CLASSIFIED DOCUMENT]
Humans have achieved commendable feats.
We have built rockets to outer space,we have mastered the elements and the atoms,we can connect nations with each other in mere seconds.
We are unknown, yet responsible for your survival.
You will never know us,hear us,feel us,see us,unless we require your capabilities.
But we are there for you.
Secure. Contain. Protect."
[Typewriter stops typing.
Camera pans to the right from the images on the wall to a steel-made airlock door and through the small window on it.
The door emits a loud clang, then slowly opens to the left.]
END OF SCENE 1
EDIT: Thanks for the Likes and compliments, everyone!
Truth be told,an SCP Cinematic Universe is my most wanted thing for the movie industry, even topping my wish for a return of "The Mask".
Cool thing about SCP is that it's made under Creative Commons,so in theory,us SCP fans could raise money and work with a Film Studio to make something. (Just a suggestion)
I thought of a potential Adult Cartoon adaption which would work kinda like a mature Gravity Falls.
Let me know what you think about this!
Ooh,interesting.

Hmm.
The first half is kind of deep, it feels like a personnel thinking about his career, about the evil that the Foundation had done. The second half, the music begins to pick up, it is the same person thinking, "Everything we do is for the greater good. Secure. Contain. Protect."
Flawed also it means the alpha war head has bean actived
The description of the second part is spot on, as it sounds very sinister in a way (Depends on how you see it I guess). By justifying the evil the foundation had done in the past, he proved the evil within himself, the evil that lies within all human beings.

I think first one third creates such a feeling that what's happening in Organisation and world it preserves is dramatic, depressing and tragic, but worst is yet to come, so this surrounding suffering is merged into everyday life and duty of organisation's personnel at such a level, that It's not even bothering these people, leaving only pragmatic side of problem, and this transition from piano to electronic beats pictures it quite well for me.
Imagine coming back to this hell place and seeing everything destroyed......

It really does make that feeling of something you wouldn't even supposed to know.
