    I commented to my Latina wife that I remembered being freaked out seeing this in elementary school, (she never saw it) and that it has taken 50 years since this for Dia de los Muertos to become known more mainstream here, beginning mid-00's. But I think the success of Disney's Coco was the point where it has now become a part of American life for many, especially out here in the west and southwest.

    All Souls' Day is observed on the second day of November, as it says in the title sequence. The first day of November is All Saints' Day.

    This is essentially a slide show, not a film... Wish it said what village is portrayed. Wonder why one of the graveyard crosses had RIP instead of DEP...
