Tell me why I actually got weirdly emotional at the end when he looked happy about having made food for someone that truly just wanted some good food from him….
RIGHT!?!? that truly touched me too!!! 🥺😭 he was so miserable and angry throughout this whole movie and finally showed joy when he got to make his hamburger ❤️❤️❤️ Ralph Fiennes performance was beautiful ❤️
I also loved that he made the menu specifically so your satisfied and not "full" too early. Thus eliminating the need for takeaway. Especially since they're gonna die. She ordered something that required takeaway.
20:16 So in the script, it just called for Margot to sit there and cry upon finding out Tyler brought her there knowing she was going to die. Anya herself said no, and that's how we got her just straight up losing her shit on him. Here's the full quote: "I have a thing about feminine rage. Which people think for some reason and this is no disrespect to any writer - I get a lot of, like, 'men doing really terrible things' and women sitting silently while one tear slowly falls. And I'm like, "Oh no no no no no. We get mad, and angry."

I used to love cooking. Made me happy to cook for others and make them happy with my food. Went to culinary arts school. Cooked professionally for a few years. Then something happened. I never cook at all anymore. Never. Have absolutely no desire to. Makes me sad sometimes.
I’m really sad to hear that and also hope you find your passion for it again!❤ it may take some time and motivation, but something your passionate about should always be treasured and celebrated❤️ and I know I’m just one person but I’m telling you, get to cooking a dish you love making and I hope that makes you happy☺️❤️
The same for me with web development, i still love the craft, but doing that 8 hours a day for 5 days a week is what leaves me drained to the point i have no desire to code for personal projects. That's what happens when your passion becomes your full time job. I think with cooking also it is the additional pressure to be perfect and fast at the same time, the rolling schedules, the long hours, etc in general with the current state of affairs with the food industry it is very easy to get burn out as a cook, but your frame of mind also changes when you do the same job for a prolonged period of time
9:10 there's a deleted scene where the women DO get bread with Man's Folly, and it IS as delicious as promised. You can even see Tyler eating some that he stole when Chef comes up to confront him about why he's there.
I like how Julian stood up for Margot/Erin against Tyler in his own way by making Tyler expose how much of a sniveling selfish dilettante he is in front of everyone. Julian knew that he was a pathetic groupie who couldn't even make toast properly while trying to sound like a know-it-all foodie, so he finally broke his ego by telling him he is the reason he hates being a chef now.
One interesting fact about the opening scene with the goats leading the guests to the restaurant: when cows or pigs are taken from farms to slaughterhouses they put a couple goats on the truck with them to put the other animals at ease, so they get called Judas goats, so in a way the guest are being lead to their demise
@jodytollefson7187 might not be a very wide practice everywhere, but I've definitely heard of it being used. A few select goats will be led to and from slaughterhouses unharmed alongside all the other goats that will be slaughtered, sometimes even fed. So this one goat gets on the truck first to make sure all the goats that are unsure about the truck do get on. The only thing is I've never heard about them going with any other animals but other goats.
As a farmer dairy cows aren’t eaten as much since their main job is to live to produce dairy. What most people eat are Angus cows. Great reaction by the way!
They are slaughtered for consumption at about 5-6 yrs old, when they are spent & can not produce enough milk anymore. So slaughter is their “reward”! 🤬

@@filmfreakbecky Oh btw bestie, I totally forgot to answer your question - so I live in Montreal, which is in the province of Quebec in Canada, and here there's a huge dairy industry. Dairy cows are cows specifically raised for milk production which means they're given specific feed, they're given specific hormones and they tend to live a lot longer. Beef cows are, as you no doubt already guessed, are raised for beef, mainly human consumption, and given specific feed...etc, and they're slaughtered at a specific age, a little younger than dairy cows
Dish analysis from another video: Oysters and lemon mignonette - Common flavors put together that have to be broken down and deconstructed, foreshadowing what happens to the guests. This is meant to be taken as Chef throwing down the gauntlet. Amuse Bouche - More foreshadowing. Charred lace - crater. Milk snow - ash from the fire. Cucumber and melon - the guests. The Island - Scallop on a rock - Chef presenting himself to the guests. Plants - "in the weeds" Breadless bread plate - straight up snarking at picky customers. But you can also make a case for Lilian's plate having a broken emulsion on purpose as his way of saying SHE'S as useless as a broken emulsion. Memory - Self explanatory The Mess - Pressurized vegetables - literal pun. Bone marrow - blood. Beef jus - sweat. Potato confit - tears. As a whole, it's essentially a dead body with blood pouring out. It even has a hole for the bullet. Man's Folly - Plum vinegar exists because of Umeboshi, whey plays a vital part in making yogurt, sea kelp and lettuce are what keeps the oceans biome from wreaking havoc. But everyone either doesn't know that or forgets, because they don't taste good, aren't as attractive, or can be very difficult to work with in their natural form. It's the same with women, especially when they try to speak out against unfair treatment like what the chef describes. They get called things like "bottom feeders", like crabs. Final scene with Margot/Erin eating the cheeseburger - She didn't care about giving him peace of mind. She just wanted to survive. And Chef acknowledged that. Using his menu as a napkin - She never believed anything he said for one second. She is, in fact, a taker that knows her worth. And THAT'S why she lived.
Hey Becky shout out from the US Marine Corps! Found your channel a little while ago and love watching reviews with you! This one was a great movie there's a little twist that most people don't get in this movie. There's actually 12 people just like the 12 disciples at the Last Supper in the Bible! There is also seven tables which represent the seven deadly sins. Obviously Tyler is the glutton. I'll let you figure out what the rest of the tables are. The greed table is really easy. Anyways I hope you find this interesting! Keep up the great reactions!
I been a sous/line cook almost all my life. There is so much competition in fine dining industry, everyone that inspires to be a, Known, Executive Chef De Cuisine, takes a lot.. its true when i worked with cooks trying to move up the rank and get lost and lose the simple things that are great about working as a cook.. This movie was so funny and good for my personal experiences in the line. I love that they showed the love and respect for the chef, that is true in any kitchen. Im retired and just enjoy cookin for the fam and friends. i appreciate the editing, funny stuff
Non-dairy cows are those bred for the quality of their meat not the quality of their milk! I'm not sure but I think fairy cows are black and white and non-dairy cows are brown (I might be wrong tho)
The colours bit is not correct. The most common breed of cow that produces dairy is indeed the black and white Frisian, cow though they come in red (a reddish brown) and white too, but that's mostly because they have specifically been bred for a long time to produce the most milk, and have become very far spread because of that. They're very common now, but they are far from the only breed. You could take any breed of cow and eat their meat, or drink their milk, but for commercial purposes you'd want to eat the cow that produces the most meat per cow, or the cow that produces the most milk per cow, for the least amount of money. tldr, there are lots of breeds of cows, some of which are almost extinct and/or very local, and all of them could produce milk and meat, but we've bred certain breeds to produce more milk, or more meat, so those breeds are kept commercially.
haha S'moresj as individual pieces in a chef's view are disgusting but as Chef Julian said, what transforms them into a delicious nostalgia dish is fire
3:10 Nordic countries have long winters; dairy cows for cream, milk, and meat for cheeses, fermented beverages and other food preservation methods. Dairy cows were bred for higher milk production or for the male calves to be used for their meat. So in all likelihood , the restaurants smokehouse is full of veal. 5:15 A Pacojet can shave frozen food like a snow cone maker, but at 1000X the power and speed. Essentially they're freezing the milk and shaving frozen milk proteins and butterfat without losing the water. Or you can just use liquid nitrogen since the container costs like $300 while the nitrogen is only pennies on the dollar. The Pacojet will set you back almost 10K 28:26 It's not that s'mores are a disgrace. If you're a chef trying to elevate a classic childhood treat, the s'more is like a "I'm trying to polish a turd dessert." All through history innovative Culinary techniques are just the social movements that won. War, famine, isolation, and other life-threatening conditions would yield basic food preservation techniques like smoking, lacto-fermentaion, or low temperature cooking. The s'more is was created by people with no culinary training, using all premade foods, each at thier lowest industrial quality, by people who could afford it. Techniques like tempering chocolate, egg foams in marshmallows, and patisserie level cookies existed 200 years before the s'more, by people who could afford a private chef. I believe most pastry chefs that create a s'more theme recipe are genially in a good place, but the reason it can be seen as a disgrace is because is in what the s'more represents. Nothing innovative, a trendy flavor profile that screams "I'm a money grubbing whore."
There are different types of cattle depending on their purpose. Dairy cows are as they are named, they produce dairy products, they’re the stereotypical black and white cow that you see in drawings, art, even emojis. But if you’ve ever eaten beef, odds are it came from a beef cow, black angus, wagyu, etc. And your confusion had me cracking up. 🤣 Pretty AND funny.
Dairy cows are cows raised specifically for producing milk.... Non-dairy cows are raised for their meat and skin for leather... An example of dairy cows is the Holstein cow(the black and white spotted cow 🐄)
"Who are you?" "Margot." "I've served many Margots...you're not a Margot. WHO are you?" "Thomasin." "You don't belong here." "I want to live deliciously."
I will never look at cooking the same again after watching this movie lol 😂 😬 😦 I don’t know if this was supposed to be a comedy but I found myself laughing nervously throughout
The message of this film can be applied to any industry, especially movies and TV these days. All the uber-fans of Star Wars and Marvel nitpicking at every little detail that doesn't meet their standards, and those have to be sucking the fun out of the creators like they are sucking the fun out for me as a viewer.

My take is that it's simply ... male cows. Because they don't have udders to feed their babies, they can't produce milk. It's foreshadowing for the chase scene; only the "males" will be slaughtered ;)
So glad you enjoyed this movie too!!!! It's one of my new favorites. I also recreated Tyler's Bullshit (edible this time) and it actually was pretty good with some tweaks. :)
cattle are bred differently for beef vs. dairy so it's ... I guess weird, and perhaps creates a different flavor of beef, to use dairy cows for beef. also I love that you were genuinely appreciating the food like I feel like one thing about some of the food in this movie is the presentation and the ""concept"" is pretentious but that doesn't make it bad, or purely nonsense? It's just that to make food like that you basically have to charge so much, because it is expensive and labor intensive, and then it creates a situation where as a chef you do end up with all these not-caring, ultra-wealthy and pretentious clients. but like genuinely I wanna try food like that!!!
As much as I love John Leguizamo, I'm kinda sad that his part in this movie wasn't played by the actor the writers had originally wanted for that part: they wanted Daniel Radcliffe to play a fictionalized, nasty version of himself, with the character actually being credited "Daniel Radcliffe as himself". That fell through due to scheduling conflicts, but imagine how effing hilarious that would have been: Voldemort finally getting Harry Potter's ass after all these years roflmao
From what I understand they also decided against it because they worried that them playing enemies again would take away from the other actors. Or something like that
5:46 that made laugh too hard for some reason, you and the editing is hilarious. PS I would recommend you to react The Fabelmans, an absolute tearjerker

I don't want this to sound petty, but at then end when you said 'she took him back to a place where he remembers loving cooking" it would be more, she GAVE him a chance to remember why he started cooking. Or was it because she challenged chief and his cooking techniques?

"..Brown..."
"Student loans?"
"...no..."
"I'm sorry, you're dying."
LMAO! I can write an essay about this movie, all the characters...etc, but you said it best, you have to like dark comedy. If you really like it then I strongly suggest: "Tucker & Dale vs Evil" another hilarious dark comedy horror, really good! Anyway, THANK YOU, thank you bestie for another 32:27 mins of laughs, really looking forward to the next one!!
BESTIEEE❤️❤️❤️😄😄😄 so so happy you enjoyed and to keep making you laugh!!!😄😄😄❤️❤️❤️ AND THANK U! It be hard making it bigger on YT but thankful for all y’all besties that I got!!😄❤️ maybe one day!😂🤞🏼
YES ITS SO GOOD RIGHT!!! SO many hilarious moments!!! I was dying when he made Tyler cook and labelled it “Tyler’s bullshit” AHAHAHA TOOK ME OUT!😂😂
So so many funny moments, and ya the poor assistant right 😂😂
OOOO thank u for the recommendation!😄😄😄 u know I love my dark humour!!!😄😄😄
@@filmfreakbecky Oh btw bestie, I totally forgot to answer your question - so I live in Montreal, which is in the province of Quebec in Canada, and here there's a huge dairy industry. Dairy cows are cows specifically raised for milk production which means they're given specific feed, they're given specific hormones and they tend to live a lot longer. Beef cows are, as you no doubt already guessed, are raised for beef, mainly human consumption, and given specific feed...etc, and they're slaughtered at a specific age, a little younger than dairy cows
Dairy cows are mainly used for milk while steers are used for meat
Thank you!!!😄😄 I was so confused LOL
Dish analysis from another video:
Oysters and lemon mignonette - Common flavors put together that have to be broken down and deconstructed, foreshadowing what happens to the guests.
Plants - "in the weeds"
Breadless bread plate - straight up snarking at picky customers. But you can also make a case for Lilian's plate having a broken emulsion on purpose as his way of saying SHE'S as useless as a broken emulsion.
Memory - Self explanatory
The Mess - Pressurized vegetables - literal pun.
Hong Chau is amazingly scary❤
Hey Becky shout out from the US Marine Corps! Found your channel a little while ago and love watching reviews with you! This one was a great movie there's a little twist that most people don't get in this movie. There's actually 12 people just like the 12 disciples at the Last Supper in the Bible! There is also seven tables which represent the seven deadly sins. Obviously Tyler is the glutton. I'll let you figure out what the rest of the tables are. The greed table is really easy. Anyways I hope you find this interesting! Keep up the great reactions!
Loved this movie and Anya Taylor Joy looked stunning😍💕
UGHH she always looks like a babe!!! ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍 love her!!
Great satire on all those uppity fuckers in the food industry haha.. Ralph Fiennes, and Anya Taylor Joy were amazing. 🔥
IKR!! AHAHAHA humbled their asses real quick 😂
What a movie!! Just watched this and it was so good! had so much fun
TIM!!! YES so happy you loved it too! It’s SO GOOD!!😄😄
cows raised for beef are not typically also used for dairy.
loved it, its Squid Game meets Master chef, probably in my top 5 of 2022 after Everything Everywhere all at Once, The Batman, and before Barbarian.
Oh I feel you!!! Everything Everywhere remains my number 1!!😄
Speaking of dark comedies...Ready or Not (2019) would probably be right up your alley.
In the US and some other places there are different breeds of cattle specialized for meat vs dairy.
lol'd at "he's turning 3?!" excellent, also the beginning and end. I bought the movie on Amazon. So much goodness
I'm just glad it's not a ...
SPOILER
cannibalism thing.
Non-dairy cows are those bred for the quality of their meat not the quality of their milk! I'm not sure but I think fairy cows are black and white and non-dairy cows are brown (I might be wrong tho)
Thank you so much!!😄😄😄 for some reason I had in my head just “cow=milk” 😂
Oooo that makes sense! He sure transformed it into a masterpiece with his fire 😂
Another hilarious reaction 🤣 I died when you turned yourself into a vaccuum 🤣🤣🤣
The Pacojet will set you back almost 10K
28:26 It's not that s'mores are a disgrace.
2022 is the year of great first date movies: The Menu, Fresh and Barbarian. ❤
Nothing tops the first date movie I had with my future wife: SHAME (2011)
AHAHAHA YES! I showed my bf Fresh without him knowing anything and he was genuinely shocked when it got to the part before the opening credits 😂😂😂
I should be sleep, but I'm watchin this. Intro made me want a crispy corn dog. I'm hella hungry
It costs 1,250 dollars a person. They mentioned that at the beginning of the movie.
Also in my top 3 of 2022. Fantastic movie.
I loved this movie! And they said in the beginning it’s $1250 a person and you can only come in pairs or more so $2500+
Thank you!!😄😄 wasn’t too sure, but damn that’s a lot of money to spend to die 😛
What a fantastic movie the menu great actors great scenes and great foods it make me hungry after watch that movie. Great reaction Becky.
Dairy cows are cows raised specifically for producing milk.... Non-dairy cows are raised for their meat and skin for leather... An example of dairy cows is the Holstein cow(the black and white spotted cow 🐄)
You'll love Ralph Fiennes & Collin Ferrel. in the movie - "In Bruges" - a very dark comedy.
"Who are you?"
"Margot."
"I've served many Margots...you're not a Margot. WHO are you?"
"Thomasin."
"You don't belong here."
"I want to live deliciously."
Tyler was a Gangster! Hahaha. And the waitress her name's Hong Chao look up, (I Go Norway Too. -Downsizing) It cracks me up lol that was her too. I loved this movie too its one of my favorites. Love your reactions and I love seeing my gente on T.V 💙 and that you're randomly dressed like Camila Cabello in Cinderella 😂
Where'd you get your shirt because I absolutely LOVE IT!!!
This was a good movie Becky
I thought I was the only one who loved the clap. & Margot 😍
For me, I don't Paranormal Horror, But I Love Mystery, Detective and Dark Horror.
I Guess that's why I love Knives Out.
Attempt #1 to get Becky to watch The Matrix 😂
Re: non-dairy cows, bulls would count, since they don't produce milk.
If there's one thing we can always count on, is Becky having some funny ass edits in here
That burger though....🤤🤤
I NEED THAT😩
19:34 I could see it now Chef calling his members together saying no bad ideas and one says each meal has a moral, another to reveal everyones sin, and her saying everyone should die,
Chef: ruclips.net/video/DUYfGqzd28U/видео.html go to 1:45
watched this whole reaction to the end and said to myself "how am i gonna watch this whole thang and not subscribe" lol
Becky asking the REAL questions! WHAT IS A NON DAIRY COW?!? 😂❤
My take is that it's simply ... male cows. Because they don't have udders to feed their babies, they can't produce milk. It's foreshadowing for the chase scene; only the "males" will be slaughtered ;)
7:15 they said the price at the beginning of the movie, 1250 per person
So glad you enjoyed this movie too!!!! It's one of my new favorites. I also recreated Tyler's Bullshit (edible this time) and it actually was pretty good with some tweaks. :)
He voiced Sid and Bruno in Encanto.
cattle are bred differently for beef vs. dairy so it's ...
PS
I would recommend you to react The Fabelmans, an absolute tearjerker
AHAHAHA happy you like that one 😂 I loved making that😂😂
YES that’s actually on my watch list but I think for watching with my fam because it looks more emotional and I feel like ima just be sitting there not talking and crying for it 😂
Cool, hope you enjoy it
Yea this movie is crazy lol, happy new year ✨️
Happy new year!!!😄😄😄
so easily my favorite of 2022

🌋🌋🌋🤣 (edit: I seem to have missed the AVOCADO! I know there's an avocado around here somewhere because usually....)

Hi Becky it's Matty from Australia how are you I'm watching your video right now love your accent your the Greatest . ❤️❤️❤️❤️🎈🎈🎈🌻
I have had caviar, and it was alright.
But I honestly prefer tobiko from a sushi place.
That's the eggs of flying fish and it's some good shit! Not necessarily super expensive either.
Hahaha nice reaction. I had similar reactions. Nice movie, good laughs
Best of Tyler being an evil a$$hole
12:00 😈😡😒
0:07...Well, now i am, darn it😏
Don’t you dare disrespect Gordon 😂 This is more like Horror than anything
I don't want this to sound petty, but at then end when you said 'she took him back to a place where he remembers loving cooking" it would be more, she GAVE him a chance to remember why he started cooking. If you remember he was calling his customers takers, hence why she got to leave for what she gave him. annnywayss loved the vid!
Talk all day. I ❤ that voice.
I effing loved THIS MOVIE let me tell you something if you want to be my bestie just take me to the movies and let me see Anya Taylor Joy 🥰😍😍😍Slayyyyy soooo Iconic 😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰😭😂she can scream all at me okayyyy😭😭😭😭😊😊😊😊😍😍😍😂and I won’t press charges❤️❤️❤️😂😂😂love ya BESTIEEE🗣️🗣️🗣️❤️❤️❤️🤞🏽

I wrote a Hannibal crossover for this movie.
It's titled Eat the Rude, under ICanSingNoRequiem.
Come say hi!
You realize that you are exactly the type of person that the Chef would have killed in the movie right?
The acting was good and I really enjoyed Voldemort as a human as a chief lol. I absolutely love Anya Joy she’s amazing ❤️❤️❤️ The fact that she got a cheeseburger at the end was icing on the cake! Enjoyable movie but I got slightly lost but not completely. Why did Chief aka Voldemort let her go at the end? Was it because she wasn’t a guest and she wasn’t supposed to be there to begin with? Or was it because she challenged chief and his cooking techniques?
PLEASE go watch Pixars Soul!
It actually directly addresses what you were saying about loving something turning into an obsession.
I did bestie!!!😄😄😄 reaction is on the channel! I LOVE that movie!😄😄
@@filmfreakbecky whoopsie!
