The woman who made a comment at the 50 min mark was very rude and unkind. I thought Amy handled it beautifully. Amy is absolutely spot on with her reply. We need more people like her to speak the truth in kindness and respect. Well done, Amy.
Andy LH I think you are so ignorant of the history. Pls give me some authors or books that can prove that Jesus didn't live in the history of mankind. But first read these authors for the historicity of jesus and the gospel narrative 1. N T Wright 2. Gary habermas 3. Craig bartholomew 4. William Lane Craig 5. Lee strobel's book the case for christ is also good for starter. 6. Richard baukham etc.
She is a delightful person and gave an excellent presentation. God bless her. What a contrast a Godly intelligent women like her is with what else you find in the world these days.
I understand why so many who don't know Christ hate the idea that the Gospel account is real history. My prayer for you is that you have a true encounter with Christ. God promises that you can find Him, if you search for Him with your whole heart. This is not blind faith, but reality.
@@Rolf Leseratz Any particular evidence you can produce for these assertions? 1) Gospels are immoral. 2) unknown authors are liars. 3) Contradiction always means all accounts are false?
Hey Premiere Radio the elephant in the room is found in the Word of God ~ 1 Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.ff How did you miss it ??
20kevron "different context, in the kingdom of God there is neither male nor female" the kingdom has not come yet right? so we are not in that context but in earthly congregations like author of timothy addresses.
In their context, that was an admonition to the Church in Ephesus....same with the admonition to the Church in Corinth.....for those particular churches in Pauls time , that injunction was necessary....we do not take those teachings as anything more then cultural...of course you will not accept that because you hate Christ and His Church so you are attempting to slander the Truth with your pathetic and laughable poor exegesis.
To all those who deny Jesus.... One heart beat separates you from death....are you SURE you won't stand in front of him 5 seconds after your last heart beat?
My friend Joe is not color-blind. He will correctly identify the colors of a box of crayons or a bird or a flower. But when it comes to cars, Joe has a strange quirk: he calls every car he sees "blue" no matter its real color. I asked him why and he said that that's just how he defines "blue" when it comes to cars: "compatible with any color of the rainbow." He called me yesterday and said that he just re-painted his car. Now it's blue. How am I to interpret that? As nonsense. Now you know what atheists hear when Christians say "God is good." Christians are going to say that anyway, no matter what God does.
I am a lost soul I hate me I think I am mentally ill, I feel so lost and useless iwantto die I know this is asin!!! Iwant to help ifeelso useless OH GOD PLEASE HEIP ME PLESA

One thing I have come to see and understand recently is, EVERY single time a non-believer opens his mouth about what he thinks the bible says, and is convinced that he knows what he is talking about, the absolute ignorance and lack of insight is painfully obvious! Oh, they have read the bible and studied various subjects that may seem to qualify them to their peers, but the profound bias and absence of depth for understanding the bible is undeniable. And we, not they, know exactly why. God bless
HAHAHA ! Thank you! Just know that the majority of Atheists were deeply religious at one point in our lives. It is when we started looking for answers and evidence that we came to the Atheist conclusion!! So your ignorant and ad hominem statements are just further support for our conclusion.I would "believe" if the bible could support itself with evidence and not blind faith! The superstitious bs you Christians gleefully ignore is beyond laughable. Talking snakes, talking donkeys, pigs committing suicide after ingesting human sin, she bears killing children for making fun of a bald man, original sin, on and on! Absolutely ridiculous! No sane person can read the bible and think this is the word of a great god. It is more a collection of hundreds of books written by hundreds of authors with very little knowledge of the vast world.
Used to be my man...used to be! Then I got off my knees and questioned everything! Try it, you might just like the true beauty of this life and all it has to offer. Or maybe you like grovelling on your knees in the hopes of a better next life while ignoring this one!
Isn't it so that the earliest manuscripts of the gospel of Mark do not contain the very ending of that gospel that we now see in modern bibles? That is, the whole ending from Mark 16:9 onwards (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_16). Since it is pretty much agreed upon that the other 3 canonical gospels build onto Mark and get more and more mythic (beginning with Luke, followed by Matthew and finally John) and wildly, only Mark should be taken into account. There are other gospels (which mean "good news") that were not canonized in our western bible, talking about walking crosses after the resurrection and so on.
Let's say we have the original copy of the Gospels, so what? All we have are second hand records of hearsay evidences 30, 50, 70 years after the facts by anonymous authors who may or may not had direct contact with alleged eye-witnesses. Not to mention the Gospels do not agree with each other on many important details. Evidence like this can't prove even the most mundane things let alone miracles.
The fact the gospels have minor variations and fill in the left out details of each other proves they are from independent eye witness sources. You want eye witness testimony, but then you preclude even the slightest possibility of eye witness testimony by demanding 100% EXACT matching testimonies! When in the history of the world has THAT ever happened???? The earliest creeds in the bible can be dated to within a year of the death of Jesus, even by the most skeptical scholars. Paul and Luke are meticulous historians who interviewed and spoke with the eye witnesses themselves. The gospels agree on EVERY important detail. Now, was there 1 angel or two angels at the tomb during the resurrection.... well sorry this isn't an important detail, especially in light of the fact you are talking about the resurrection of a person from the grave, which is the important detail, and which all sources confirm independently of each other.
First of all,the Gospels are not eye witness evidence. They are written by anonymous authors who allegedly talked to alleged eye witnesses. They are hearsay at the best. Personally, I think they are religious fictions written to communicate the authors' religious ideas. From Mark to Matthew to Luke to John, you can see a progression of embellishment. The later Gospels clearly were using previous Gospel/s as source. The Gospels copied from each other at some places yet deviated SIGNIFICANTLY at other places (try actually read the empty tomb narratives in parallel, it's much more than just the number of angels/humans that are different).
twrciv You are simply an arrogant ignorant if you can state what you do with such conviction. You are so off on all your assumptions. Please do some study before commenting....Seriously DO SOME STUDY! F3
For the study of history, Biblical texts need to be subjected to the same methodology that historians use in evaluating other ancient documents. Viewed in that light, the notion that Jesus was a 'legend' is simply untenable. Jesus was a first century, observant Jew born in Palestine who was crucified by Pontius Pilot. There's a lot more to be said, but if people reject the historical method used by scholars of history, and the results of using that scholarship to evaluate accounts of Jesus both in the Bible and elsewhere, one might as well throw silver dollars at the moon.
She was taught bible stories like John the Baptist's head on a platter as a child and that these were factual history. children have to develop a sensible rational view of the world. If false facts are programmed into them at a young age their sensible rational view becomes one mixed with false facts and Ideologies. This is a self evident fact, it is directly observable all over the world in various cultures and in education systems also.
The most telling thing in the presentation for me, was the testimony of a little girl being indoctrinated with images of a young woman asking for a man's head on a platter. And as a child, being taught these things as history. The reality of things is self evident. True things need no defence, they show themselves for what they are. Similarly false things show themselves for what they are. All that is needed is love of truth with the capacity to sensibly investigate so as to test and prove things for oneself. Teaching children faith without this process encourages blind faith on the basis of childish belief in authority. To teach as true, especially to children, things one has not seen with their own eyes, heard with their own ears or handled with their own hands, is, by definition, spreading hearsay. Some one is reputed to have said: "It would be better if such teachers had a millstone tied around their neck and they were thrown into the sea." I think it more fitting that they have a change of mind and bring their teaching of children into line with the truth of reality which they and the child, by their own senses can substantiate.
Of course we can't trust the Gospels. They are all anonymous. They contradict each other right and left. Luke says Jesus was born in a manger, Matthew says a house. After Jesus was born, did he flee to Egypt, or remain in Bethlehem then return to Nazareth? (No evidence for a first century town of Nazareth exists). The Romans crucified many and Jesus was a common Jewish name back then, so I can believe that some Jesus guy was crucified. But the biblical stories about Jesus are quite mythical.
Deacon Verter The moment you say Jesus never existed, you are just out. For there is solid proof of his existence. SO the man who did that video lacks scholarship. Who is he to say Nazareth existed when? Is he Jewish? Where did she studied? He is just out, for the fact the title says Jesus never existed... Anyway do your resarch the city dates back to the 2nD -1st century B.C
