I think this England team has got to a stage now where you just can't be making any excuses for not getting out of the group stages. Particularly given we've had the Nations League in place for a while now, where we consistently play teams of similar standard. Yes, it's easy (and fair) to point to England's under-performance in the most recent Nations League, but the point is we play against those teams more regularly now than we have in the past so we really shouldn't be blindsided by them when we face them in a serious tournament.
Worth mentioning as well, I think, that a lot of the bigger nations are in those pots for a reason - they have some serious issues that teams like England and France don't currently. Yes, one or two injuries massively change things, but if everyone is fit, every other side (France included) should be scared of what England can do to them.
As a French person I can say that I aint scared of England 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 This happens every year you English people think that you have the best team and that you are going to win and look how that turned out (World Cup 2018, Euro 2020, Nations League 2023, World cup 2022) so yea I dont think that anyone is scared of England 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I'm also French but I don't under-estimate the current English team. Belingham is becoming a monster and Saka is tough to stop for any defender. Now both teams can't meet before the semi-final so they already both need to reach that stage first.
England outplayed France in the WC. Sure, if Kane didn't decide to send his penalty to the moon, England would probably have gone on to win then who knows what would've happened. The team that concerns me the most are Spain.

@@laurentutramadra On this I agree. One needs to have a serious bias to consider England "outplayed" France at the World Cup. The match was made tight only because of the clumsiness of the French defence giving them 2 penalties. It's more France that is to be blamed than England that is to be praised for that.

you realise these draw simulations arent predictions at all because the closer you run the simulation to infinity each team will be drawn against eachother homogenously, like you've predicted nothing, any differences between 180-220 is all just random error
Every England fan is not realistic every single tournament we hype up England and do all of these predictions and praise our selves to meet the French in the final and win the whole thing. We just couldn’t make a more perfect story couldn’t we?!?. Realistically I see Portugal vs France in the final or France Spain. I don’t believe we will make it all the way to the end

Statistically, most permutations of those pots make some of those Groups make for some of the Highest Ranked Groups based on Average World Ranking
For Example...
France (2nd), Netherlands (7th), Italy (9th) and Denmark (16th) is an average of 8.5, Swap France for England and the average rating 8.75
I think the group of England, Denmark, Ukraine and The Netherlands is a good group...

Are there any limits on the draw like not being able to play a country from your qualifying group, or is it just a totally random draw for equal chance of each team coming out of each pot?
the countries that are in the same qualifying groups are in different pots and so they will not play against each other in the groups and they will not play against each other in the round of 16 however anything past that is fair game
Random draw, you are able to get the same team as your qualifying group as england did with czech republic in the last euros

the draw is completely random, these predictions make no sense because no matter how many times you run them, the more you run them the more likely every team will have drawn eachother an equal number of times

If Bellingham, Kane, Rice and Saka stay fit and in form, I think England will go all the way. Say what you want about Pickford, but he's never let England down and he's a monster at penalties too. The problem, as has been for several years now, is in central defence where Maguire is far too slow. If Southgate can slot in a Tomori/Guehi alongside Stones then I think that would make them a lot stronger.
