    I'm disappointed that it's not compatible with previous GLXD system. The big change from what I see is the fact that it's now dual band. Which shouldn't be an excuse to not make previous GLXD1 bodypack still work single-band like before. If routers can be backward compatible with older Wi-Fi devices that doesn't support dual or triple band, why can't Shure do the same? Other than making more money by forcing people to replace their less than 5 years old GLXD equipment... Needed an extra body pack and now I'm SOL.

    The main difference between GLXD+ and GLXD systems is the addition of the 5.8 GHz band. I have multiple GLXD1 body pack transmitters, because I have a collection of basses - some active and some passive - with wildly different signal strengths. The individual transmitters allowed me to boost/cut input gain so I could normalize those signals, effectively giving me a customized pre-amp for each bass. It turns out that I NEED to replace my GLXD6 pedal.... because my pedalboard was recently stolen. Are GLXD6+ receivers backward-compatible with the previous generation of transmitters?

      Hi Philip - GLX-D+ Dual Band transmitters and receivers are not compatible with previous GLX-D or GLX-D Advanced Wireless.

      @@AC-pu2eh and better yet, you will have interference with legacy GLX-D systems, unless you completely disable 2.4 Ghz on it.

    I was looking for my first Shure Wireless Mic. I've been using the SM58 wired mic for DJing and I totally love it. The most people I've had at an event was about 500 people. Which would you recommend? I've heard that this model has had issues with failing during ceremonies...dropouts. I've looked at the Shure line, but it is very overwhelming. They have so many different versions and so many different mics as well. I only use it for speaking and announcements and don't move too far away from the my booth. Also, does it come with 2 batteries, one while you are using and that stays in the unit charging so that you have a fresh battery available at any time? Or what that be overkill to have? Thanks

    3:01 Why does that protect our ears? Having the pedal not turn in without having a jack plugged into it? I don’t understand… Can any help?

    Will the new glxd+ transmitter work with the older glx guitar reciever?

      Yuri here. Unfortunately no, there is no compatibility with GLXD receivers and GLXD+ transmitters, and vice versa.

    Yuri, can I charge the GLX-D+ receiver wirelessly with a portable power bank/ battery pack or so to make it portable, if so what cable should I use? Does Shure provide any of these?

    I haven't seen any videos talking about the pedalboard model and its tuner accuracy. Could you do that and compare it to a standalone tuner like the the Boss TU-3 or the TC polytune? Thanks!

    • @HCkev
      @HCkev Год назад

      The GLXD6+ and BOSS TU-3 are listing ±1 cent accuracy into the specs, that's what most good tuners has for accuracy.
      For the Polytune 3, it depends on the modes, Polyphonic is ±1 cent, Chromatic is ±0.5 cent, and Stroboscopic is ±0.1 cent.
      To put that into perspective, there are 100 cents in a half step, so ±1 cent accuracy means it will be less than 1/100th of a step off. 2 cents is generally accepted as accurate enough. Keep in mind that a more accurate tuner won't necessarily mean you'll be more accurate yourself when adjusting the tuning pegs, it might even be annoying as it might actually be hard to get it dead center, especially since the slight tension change when tuning the other strings might make a string you previously tuned perfectly to get off enough to need retuning to get it dead center again, without you hearing any difference.
      I own the GLXD6 (previous version) and never felt the tuner wasn't accurate enough or anything.

    Added 5.8 Ghz which is faster but not as reliable in terms of range; increased latency; not fully with the old systems -- you have to sacrifice the dual band and be on 5.8 Ghz to not have interference.... bummer!!!
