- On the 21st of November 2019, the deputy chairman (Gary Juffa) of the PNG Public Accounts Committee (PAC) grilled the PNG Health Department regarding the manner in which the department awarded multimillion contracts to it’s drug suppliers and logistical distribution companies. There were no due diligence performed to guarantee the quality of the contracted organisation in which the Health Department was dealing with, nor were the quality of the drugs been supplied by the contracted organisation were tested effectively. This raises serious concerns regarding the health of the people of Papua New Guinea. The PAC Committee also scrutinised why the ISO were omitted as a requirement for contract awarding.

I cannot watch this over and over enough. I cannot believe a Expert Secretary put in such important position not know a simple acronym ISO. And yet approve a removal of the important Logistics Company Compliance point which is there as a rule!!! Is this a freaking Joke??? Were proper process followed to select such secretary in the Position of Importance to the 8million people nation. Thank you Public Accounts Committee for doing a great JOB on behalf of the taxpayers and the people of this nation. You are highly regarded!!!

. Watching this all the way from China and I am very disappointed with our health department . Very unreliable men and women appointed to such departments and don't even have extensive knowledge about its operation . Such a shame !!!!!

it's really a big shame....a health professional couldn't even Define what ISO stands for. I don't know who appointed him and how he get the promotion to that position. Please i I watch this episode and feel shame what kind of a Health Professional is he?? The Governor even know better than that secretory. It's the opposite way around. We cannot say this video is unfair and biased. You can simply see the secretary and the pharmacist couldn't answer questions which are related to the department's responsibilities. I'm not sure why people filling the very important roles of a very important department are not capable of good public speeches!

It is sad to see that the head of health does not even know how the whole drug distribution system is rolling out. Also very senior statesmen and woman answering questions without knowing anything on that matter. The whole Health Management should be Overhauled. Out with the Old, In with the New.. We need young energetic Papua New Guineans Professionals to get things moving.

As if the responses from the health secretary is sufficient to nullify the reality behind how the health department failed PNG. How the F**K is this video unfair and misleading to the people!!?? This video has exposed the secretary for what him and his administration truly are. Thousands of lives have been lost because of his incompetency in running the health department. And you here demanding the full video of the responses from him and his half-baked technical evaluation team or should I say technical bribery team!?? This is a serious! serious! matter mind you! If it were up to me, I would have all of them executed without trial. The Health Secretary and his technical evaluation team are stained with the bloods of the lives lost under their incompetent management of our country’s health.
