lan is a good player for me. The previous round he lost to Magnus. It was probably because he moved too quickly because he wanted to pressure time on Magnus. And it happened again in the combination of Lan and Ding. In many games he had the chance to win. But he played too fast. causing him to miss many opportunities to win. It happened this time too i guess 😅 But I hope Lan gets his wish this time🔥

Pragg: here you are some weird computer line with a novelty.
Nepo: hang on a second, have you done your homework thoroughly?

Prag's prep was perfect, alas, he didn't dig far enough or just forgot. Brilliant save by Nepo in absolute awesome set up from opp. Credits to both, but very impressed by Nepo's only possible moves to save. Just wow on his ability to grab this 0,5, candidates' is Nepo's tournament for sure by distant marge. One of that games, which will be rewatched and reanalyzed by all GM.

Nepo moves very fast and puts a lot of pressure on the opponent. If he can avoid defeat with Fabi...he will be in a good position to win

@@Philiopantheon82 When did Magnus say that? Because he said in an interview just last week that he 'hasn't seen much from Nepo' in recent years and he's not convinced. He was pretty negative about Nepo compared to what he said about most of the other candidates

Best on what? Like seriously…to be called the best someone has to achieve something spectacular, what did he achieved until now? maybe in the future if he won world championship, but then again someone else in his generation already won it 5 times….
Even in elo rating he is below Caruana…..like come on…
