Try out this Karnataka style Bonda Soup recipe which is a warm flavourful breakfast with deep fried urad dal fritters which are super soft and light, served with a perfect natively flavoured soup.
Servings - 4 serves
Ingredients :
For bonda -
1 cup urad dal
½ cup water
1 tbsp chopped ginger
2 chopped green chillies
Some chopped curry leaves
Some chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
12 to 15 black pepper
2 to 3 tbsp chopped fresh coconut
For soup -
¾ cup yellow moong dal
3 cups water
1 tbsp Chopped ginger
3 green chillies
1 Chopped tomatoe
½ tsp salt
½ tsp turmeric powder
4 cups water
2 tbsp Oil
1 tsp mustard seed
1 tsp cumin seed
½tsp asafoetida {or} hing
Some curry leaves
Salt to taste
2 tbsp chopped fresh coconut
Some chopped coriander leaves
2 tbsp lemon juice
Oil for frying
Garnish it with some chopped fresh coconut and coriander leaves.
