The reason Dante figured out it was Trish so quickly wasn’t because Caveliere used electric attacks, it was because the first thing he did was throw a motorcycle at Dante, just like Trish did when she first met him

Well it is possible , dance of macabre does fake damage , he used it to insure that cavaliere only has one point of health left

@@elkmeatenjoyer3409 dance macabre's attacks can't kill an enemy untill the final swing, so it can be used to reduce an enemy to 1 hp or so for the rose taunt to kill
@@elkmeatenjoyer3409 certain moves does "fake damage" when the enemy is suppose to be dead , and only kill on the last hit
The damage counter counts the damage but the health stucks on 1 hp until you either finish the move or use a move that doesn't include the mechanic (in this case the rose taunt)

Its absolutely astonishing how Koudai uses attack strings that are normally unsafe after the string ends but executes them w/ precise timing to parry an attack as the string ends, especially w/ SM’s Balrog capo-spin kick or any of Cerberus’ firestaff moves
@@Sol_Badguy_GG The breakdance move actually has a lengthy parry window as he keeps kicking. I used that as a substitude to Cerberus when fighting him first during a wiped save file.

Wow. Using Nero's drop-kick taunt on Vergil to knock him out of his dive attack was one thing, but beating Cavaliere Angelo with the rose taunt is just insane! The more I watch these videos, the more crazy things I learn.
The dropkick on Vergil is way harder imo since you have to deal exactly the right amount of damage before doing the dropkick to knock him out of his dive. The rose toss kill is easier because Dance Macabre can't kill before the final hit, cancelling it will put Cavaliere at 1hp to be killed by the rose.

That rose does a VERY little amount of damage. Like 10 or 20.
Cavalier already had 1 hp left. Only the final slash from Dance Macabre can kill. What is impressive is the small window he had to cancel it and taunt before Cavalier hit him
He's dodge with never use dodge action.

斬撃がくるまでの時間をしっかり計算に入れての技入力による弾き、そしてバラ投げフィニッシュによって各技のダメージ量まで把握しているということがわかりました。何よりも、操作する手元が気になりすぎる！！！

The end was too clean. He studied the boss patterns and timing. He's extremely good don't get me wrong but this more than a showcase of skill is a showcase of deep understanding of the game and an art expression.
Devil may cry is meant for battle to be stylish savage and an expression of art from the player, you can see it on everything of how the game incentives style. If something is stylish it won't lower your score even if you get hit by Attacks while doing it. Only if you're not able to keep the style going will it lower. This isn't really a gameplay in the sense I explained as it is a pre-planned choreography. He's so good and understands the boss and mechanics so well he's able to do a full on planned choreography while the boss tries to kill him.
Koudai's gameplay is an ART, period.

I challenge you to kill all the bosses with a taunt lol. I really would like to see that.
If that's the only requirement then it's not that hard really. Dance Macabre and Million Stab can't kill before the final hit and will always leave enemies with 1hp, so the rose toss will kill them.
@@td984 its difficult in the sense that u have to get the boss staggered enough to have a window to cancel then taunt. Also you need to be aware of the bosses hp to not kill them by accident. Plus it would be fun to watch.
I would like to see that on Artemis (you can't dance macabre nor million stab her most of the time)

@@anthonyroberts7486 The problem wouldn't be killing them, it would be hitting them with dance macabre or million stab and cancelling them WITHOUT the boss dodging or hitting you

His lock-on taunt changes to a ground version of the rose throw if you get an S Rank
