I remember Tex Avery characters goes to the world of Tom and Jerry in Tom and Jerry movies and TV series of the life time for Warner Bros. Studios in now time. They was team of MGM studios from 40's to 80's.
I'm sure not every film, after all MGM made The Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain, The Asphalt Jungle, Ninotchka, The Philadelphia Story, Woman of the Year, Meet Me in St. Louis etc.
MGM in the 40s had definitely taken a bit of a hit, those films are definitely the highlights of the era but as with any era in film (especially when the studios were pumping out dozens of films a year), a majority of the films released were mediocre at best and typically completely forgotten. The same definitely can't be said for Tex's shorts for MGM
Warner Bros would be the only one to release them now. Warner Bros is in charge of the MGM pre-United Artist library as well as the Associated Artists library
Man why are these unavailable??? I can’t buy them anywhere or find these anywhere. They had them on the boomerang app for a bit until that recently got shut down

1:34 he looks like he got too excited because of this cartoon
Pretty sure most of these cartoons are better than most of the movies they were paired with upon release back then

@@cassavetesforaday true, it's always the Classics that get brought up the most, at least until Warner Archive became a thing
Warner Archive has definitely done a lot to celebrate the hidden gems in the MGM/WB/RKO libraries
Bro how is the quality so good? It makes it feel like these are from the 80s or 90s or 2000s than 40s
I'm glad they released these, but I wish MGM would release all of their cartoon shorts.
Same with WB. (Though I can understand why they can't due to some of their shorts being among the Censored Eleven)

Just imagine that it was the metrocolor versions.

I'm surprised it never had a dvd release.
It has one alright, but only via "manufacturer-on-demand".
