On September 6, 2014, I sang this song at my grandmother's funeral. Even though I am Catholic and she was Mormon (along with the rest of my father's side of the family), she loved me all my life and I was honored to sing at her funeral. We decided on this song because it wasn't Catholic or Mormon. It was Christian, and brought me closer to her and her family. It's been four years since she died and I miss her like crazy and think about her every day. I promised her I'd make her proud one day, and I'm still working to do that.
