One of my new favorite bands. I still have faith in this generation. This is not Stoner, this is old classic 70's Hard Rock.

Every main riff from TVC´s songs, is based on the minor pentatonic scale. So is the riff in paranoid.
As the name `pentatonic´ says, that scale only includes five different notes.
It was just a matter of time, until one of their riffs had developed enough similarities, to be identified as paranoid.

sirlordford Make that 20 years. In 1991, Kyuss released 'Blues For The Red Sun', Monster Magnet 'Spine Of God' and Sleep 'Volume One'. By 1993, major labels were already signing similar and the aforementioned bands. Stoner was going to be the next big thing after grunge, you know? Never really happened. But maybe we can have stoner-revival anyway.
