You've been busy busy today 🤓👍🏼 I just love this notebook cover, so 70s-80s. Great way to multi-task 🐙 (using the hashtag and working in the chunky junky). I think it's so interesting that you have so many Japanese (?) snacks and treats... I'd have to look far and wide to find anything like that here in the sticks. Course, maybe it's here, I've just never noticed it...ohhhh, a Japan Crate...that explains it. How does that work? I think it's kinda sad that A) you have to explain that you have cleaned out the food packaging really well and B) you have to tell people to do that 🤦🏻♀
We were talking about coffee substitutes, I quite like "Celestial Seasonings Cinnamon Oat" (it's for "gut health" but I just like the flavor) with a tiny bit of heavy cream and a sprinkle of Ceylon cinnamon, nice coffee alternative, sorta' lol).
So sad to wait and wait for something to show up and have it be less than stellar (the ketchup chips). That's a bummer.
That is a full, full, full fun page, good for you for using up SOME of your collection.

The Japanese snacks mostly come from a subscription box called Japan Crate - they ship them out monthly and they are chock full of yummy things to sample. You can go to the website and sign up, then just cancel whenever you want. I can only get one or two a year but the packaging is soooo cute on just about everything that I just can't throw it out. 😅

Yeah the ketchup chips were the kind of thing that might be good if you had like 1 chip, but not the kind of thing you want to have a handful of. Or at least, that was the review I got from my peeps here. I knew something was up when that Ketchup chip bag just sat and sat... chips never usually last long around here!

You have some great packaging materials to work with, so colorful and interesting! It was fun to see the spread get so deliciously crowded. And, everything is visible that needs to be. I will tell you I’ve never tried the ketchup potato chips. I am not very adventurous about buying strange flavors, but my husband used to do a lot of grocery shopping, and he was always buying the strange flavors (most of which went to waste ha ha! ) Now I’d like to have some of those packaging bits to play with today! Anyway, your pages were fun fun fun!

You know what's funny is that it's kind of the same in my house - I don't buy strange flavors unless they sound good, but my husband loves to buy strange flavors, even ones that sound not so appealing haha! The kids get upset when instead of just buying like "cookies and cream" ice cream he buys like "bubble gum mint banana cookies and cream" ice cream! (okay that's not a real flavor lol!) 😂

I made a journal out of a Trader Joe bag I've never been to that store but my neighbor moved away and gave the brown paper bag to me. as always a fun video to watch ❤

yeahhhh! trashtrashtuesday!!! lol i do wanna look at all of your trash😂 it's all very cute. i also use advertising magazines for glueing😮 so helpful! i just flip the page over (i have 1 page out so like folded in half?) when it gets gluey, same idea. i think about how this is like..the folk art of today? it was often created with offcuts and 'trash' after all! and ive been so obsessed lately with that i thought it was a fun realisation 😊 i laughed at ketchup chips, it's from canada yeah! i dont like ketchup so they're Not for me😂 my partner likes them sometimes, but even he thinks they're too ketchupy after a while! ive just been stapling my packaging to my journal 😅 my glue always seems to stop working too!
im not glueing right now, im doing some watercolour backgrounds in my everything journal 😇 and i really hope nobody thinks the way you're worried about! if you think it's pretty enough to keep then that is all that matters💘 but i also see the beauty in it all, and i think it's a real honour(? lack of a better word, had a longgg day) to be like this 😊
washi tape can be so annoying LOL sometimes i think of cutting a new edge with my craft knife.

I love what you said about how using these found objects or trash/recycles/packaging to create art pages is like the folk art of today. I do think that years from now it will be fascinating to look at this kind of thing and get a glimpse into what we were using in our daily lives. I wish someone in my family had done this sort of thing when they were growing up, I would loooooove to have a book full of pages made with papers, wrappers, receipts, etc from the 40s - 80s. Like a time capsule! 😍
That's funny that the ketchup chips were too ketchup-y for you and your partner as well! It seems like it's the kind of thing that maybe the first couple bites are interesting but then the flavor gets old fast!!! 🤣

Goooooood morning Barb'ra and ice cream unicorn, sooooo wonderful to see you both! 🦄✨❤ Hahaha yes I thought you might be shocked about the Japan Crate being at my house - so strange and not at all something you would expect to see here right?!?!!? 😂 Oh yes we MUST stock up on treats as well as stationery when we travel to Japan!!! An extra suitcase will be necessary just to bring back alllllll the different flavored Kit-Kats they have there!
Always happy to answer any questions you may have about what supplies I'm using in my videos. Those paint pens are pretty new so I haven't used them much at all, but so far I like them!
Actually I have fabric tape that I do use for patches and it works great! Heat bond or something like that?
I know what you mean about the coffee IV drip! The name of the brand is Teeccino and I found it on..... *gasp*... Amazon!!!! There are a few flavors, I really enjoyed the Hazelnut. It's a mild flavor, but does the trick when you want to switch off of coffee for a bit. (it's herbal tea!)
