Progressive Field on your list? I love that place, great backdrop of city, Art Deco design, including lights you hate. Great sight lines. Little Green Monster is cool, not lame. Have you actually seen a game there? I guess not.
You know what I like about Progressive? There are TWO, YES TWO pedestrian walkways. One near where the seats start, and then there's a buffer of food/drink stands, then lo and behold, THERE'S ANOTHER WALKWAY BEHIND IT! It really helps when you don't want to be bumping into everyone. Eases foot traffic A TON. Love love love it, wish every stadium was like that.
I’m one of the people you were talking about regarding the Miami home run statue. I definitely didn’t appreciate it until it was gone. It was ugly and tacky. But I’ve since realized it was also one of the few things that gave the stadium any character. Now that all those things are gone, it has become the most sterile, least welcoming place imaginable to watch a bad baseball team.
The Trop and Oakland Coliseum are in a class by themselves. Other stadiums have issues, those two are now absolute debacles. Such a shame given the historic quality of the two franchises and fanbases. They deserve much better.
I'm a white sox fan. Our stadium is in a class by itself. Oakland stadium has history to it. The trop is unique. White sox stadium is one of the worst stadiums ever built. You are risking your life going to a night game there
With hearing about the changes that Jeter made, I’m surprised he didn’t move the outfield walls in so it’s easier to hit home runs just like Yankee stadium
Nice Presentation! 27:39 The Sox demanded a new stadium from the City, or they would move to Florida. So they got the nasty park. I have been to one game at this park and will not go back.
Cleveland Municipal Stadium was a hole. Even going to Indians games back in the 80's the stadium was falling apart. Dropping it into the bottom of Lake Erie as a reef was way more honorable than it deserved. Progressive (Jacobs) Field was the first modern park that was the catalyst to everyone else getting new barns, and it still holds up as a great experience now 30 years later.
I will say, of all of the stadiums on the list, progressive field has had the most support in the comments. I will be revising this list down the road for sure!
One thing about Tropicana Field: The largest population centers are Tampa and Bradenton. There are multiple bridges, some of them toll bridges. A bridge is a back-up waiting to happen. A toll bridge is a back up that may not be happening right now!!
As someone who has been to 24 of the current parks. Worst Oakland Cleveland- very generic field. San Diego, Detroit nice stadiums Way too big and it feels like you’re miles away from the game at most seats. Kansas City- it’s in the middle of nowhere. I will say they have the nicest fans.
Pittsburgh has very nice fans. They're resigned to losing, so they really don't taunt/make fun of visiting fans. I've had great conversations and interactions with people at PNC. And the stadium is gorgeous with that downtown Pittsburgh backdrop.
I go to many mets and yankees gamesl My biggest criticism of citi field is . There to many seats in the outfield.there are 3 levels of seats out there, which is rediculas. Who wants to watch a game from the 3rd level out there?
The left field wall at the Houston ballpark makes it one of the worst ballparks for me. It's such an awkward mixture of design elements. I hate seeing it on TV.
As a die hard white sox fan i was laughing throughout this entire video until i realized oh shit, he's about to rip into comiskey, but our pinwheels are cool bro, and also the stadium is south of the city skyline, it definitely could've faced towards it especially considering old comiskey did.
I still have the broadcast on VHS video where Reinsdork explained the scientific wind study that determined how the stadium was oriented...so there was absolutely no consideration for any view of downtown - only how wind circulating through the stadium would affect a ball in play, depending on which direction the field was facing...ridiculous...it's still home though and I think it gets a far harsher criticism than it deserves but I'm a biased Sox fan
20 years ago you would be right about New Comiskey. And while it’s definitely not as cool as Old Comiskey, as someone who has been around to all the ballparks of the Midwest, it’s not the worst. It is not even worst in the AL Central. Have you BEEN to Kauffman Stadium in KC or Comerica Park in Detroit? Easily worse in EVERY criteria you mentioned. And as a parent, the Sox having the largest interactive kid’s area (three stories tall) is a huge bonus and it’s free. All while being able to see the skyline from atop it. I also dig the huge “ivy waterfall” below the exploding scoreboard. And the roof and molding on it they added are a great touch that Old Comiskey shared. Cleveland is decent and definitely better than the old “Mistake by the Lake”. The rest make sense.
dead wrong.... Kauffman in KC is in a GREAT location - very easy on and off (in & out) as it's right by I-70 in non-congested part of town. Close to Airport as well. It hasn't aged a bit since it was state of the art when it opened in 1970s. Those fountains and crown scoreboard are icons ! Comerica in Detroit is probably one of the most fan friendly parks in the MLB. Bathrooms everywhere (with CCTVs in them so you never miss a batter) and all the concession stands FACE THE FIELD while you are in line. There is also a kid's area with rides (tigers on a merry-go-'round!) and a kiddie food court that serves food kids want. Plus the artifacts, statues and skyline .... it's a GEM.
Comiskey is also conveniently next to the highway but not in a giant see of concrete. Kauffman is NOT a free kids area like in Chicago, and my kids thought it was lamer. White Sox was much more interactive and an easier location to see the game.
The Trop was built in 90 and got the expansion Devil Rays in 98. But during those 8 years the Giants and White Sox threatened to move to Tampa Florida. Used The Trop as leverage, I guess. That’s how they got Oracle Park & Guaranteed Rate Stadium (Comiskey 2).
Nationals Park is vastly better than what it replaced...RFK....the suite level is great...the wide walkways and the fact that the stadium gets a cool breeze from its design. Easy to get to with subway too
One name that might be worse than “Guaranteed Rate Field “ is “US Cellular Field”-the stadium’s prior name. Oh and the nosebleed seats-ugh! I’ve sat in them😖
Why isn't Rogers Stadium in Toronto, Canada not on this list? It's nothing but a concrete box near the lakefront that's been around for 34 years. Now the billionaires who run Rogers are just going to give this dump a "facelift" instead of building a new park. Toronto deserves something better than this dump
To me, the worst aspect of the Trop is that it's in completely the wrong part of the Tampa-St. Pete area. It was difficult to get across the bay to get there back in 2001, when I visited, and the situation has probably way deteriorated since then.

The Skydome/Roger’s Centre should be on the list. Ugly cement interior and expensive to maintain. Yes, they recently renovated it, but it would look so much better if they removed the dome, and chopped out the nosebleed area at the top. The Toronto skyline is so nice, but you don’t see it when the dome is closed. Also, the stadium is so high that you cannot see anything sitting near the top.

The reasons that Yankee stadium is on this list is because of the high prices, lack of parking near the studium, the fact that the yankee stadium staff is not friendly with the fans, the fact the the stadium feels like you are not there to watch the game, and the fact that the Yankees got rid of the original yankee stadium which offerded A much better game day experience and made it feel like you were there to watch the game and not to argue with the staff like with the new stadium.
The reasons that Wrigley Field is on this list are because of their high prices, lack of parking near Wrigley Field, the fact that Wrigleyville is not A nice neighborhood on GameDay (Especially at night), the poor stadium lights, the poor baseball that has been played there over the years, and the fact that I am A Cardinals fan. Now I will have to say I do appreciate the fact that the Chicago Cubs have preserved Wrigley Field for as long as they have, the fact that Wrigley Field is from the Era of jewl box ballparks which were to be built in neighborhoods with public transit and walking as the main mode of transportation to and from the studium, that the stadium gives A more intemete experience for watching ball games, and all of the historic ball games that have been played there over the years.
@@drewrawls17 great. Thank you for that. I am one of those folks that takes these lists with a grain of salt given that opinions and experiences differ from person to person. I for one have had great experiences at bad ballparks and bad ones at good ballparks. I’m a Dodgers fan and hate the food at Dodgers Stadium. For that, I bring it down a bit in my rankings.
Uh, five seconds of research would have told you that old Cleveland Stadium (nobody that lived there called it "Municipal") had many crowds for both football and baseball that totaled over 80,000. Don't know where you got the 65,000 figure. Example: September 12, 1954: Cleveland fans set attendance record as 86,563 watch Indians sweep Yankees - Society for American Baseball Research.
Thanks for the feedback! I was trying to make the point that it hadn’t been selling out I’m it’s later years. I am still new to this all, I am sorry I missed some info!
@@SeansTop5 it didnt sell out because the later teams were awful, they would have sold out to if they had those good teams in the later part of the 90`s
I knew this video was trash the second I saw Progressive Field. Most people have this as a top 10 BEST stadium. You obviously threw this list together with no research because the right field upper deck you showed has been there for YEARS. The renovation is happening THIS offseason, not last year. 2 all star games, 3 world series, 455 consecutive sell outs in the 90s, either has or had the worlds largest free standing scoreboard in any professional stadium. The 90s new age design after camden. This list is straight garbage. Didn't even watch the video for 3-1 because those are peobably garbage choices too.
I’d love to hear why you said this 🤔 I look forward to hearing opposing opinions but it’s pretty lame when you don’t give your own but still decide to say some crap like this lol
Why have the Tropicana Field and the Oakland Coliseum in the same category? Should have separated them, and the latter is much worse than the Tropicana.
I appreciate the comment! As mentioned, I feel like those 2 are always at the top of these kind of lists, and I did not want to beat a dead horse and bash on them some more. Realistically, there is no doubt they are 1 and 2 worst in the league.
@SeansTop5 still, you should have put those 2 on the top list for the worst ballparks, due to the amount of flaws and other problems occurring (like the Coliseum with plumbing issues, possums, roderts, and stray cats).
@@jonstefanik9400 What blows my mind is that the Astrodome cost only $34 million, but was vastly superior to The Vet, which cost a whopping $60 million.
Please do your research more thoroughly. Tropicana Field was not built for football and baseball. It was used for Arena Football and Hockey when it was first built. It used to be called The Thunderdome before The Lightning got their own arena and baseball moved in.
Thanks for your input! I will say, I never stated that it was built to be for football and baseball. I said that in the early plans it was designed for that purpose, but they decided to change it to baseball only. And yes, I did know it was used for arena football and hockey, as well as the thunderdome name. I decided to omit these details because I felt it was not needed in the video. No disrespect meant to the area whatsoever!

@@SeansTop5 Sorry if I came across a little salty. Merry Christmas!
Not at all! Merry Christmas my friend
@@SeansTop5 it didnt sell out because the later teams were awful, they would have sold out to if they had those good teams in the later part of the 90`s
Yeah I agree
Thank you!
C'mon I'm a Nats and Sox fan and you had to put their stadiums as the worst lol
I’m sorry 😭 nats are my second favorite team and maybe if I visited in person I’d change my mind!
It really is a nice park! Very open feeling and the field can be seen from pretty much anywhere inside the stadium
It obviously shows you don’t know what you’re talking about-
Give my newer videos a chance 🙏🏻
I knew this video was trash the second I saw Progressive Field.
Most people have this as a top 10 BEST stadium. You obviously threw this list together with no research because the right field upper deck you showed has been there for YEARS. The renovation is happening THIS offseason, not last year.
2 all star games, 3 world series, 455 consecutive sell outs in the 90s, either has or had the worlds largest free standing scoreboard in any professional stadium. The 90s new age design after camden.
This list is straight garbage. Didn't even watch the video for 3-1 because those are peobably garbage choices too.
Number 3-1 were Fenway, Oracle, and wrigley, you missed out
Nice video Sean. I hate your team though. Guess who I'm a fan of.
Thank you!!! Let me guess, bills???
Your hate for Chicsgo should be known....
I’ve never been but I love Chicago :( I think Wrigley field is my 6th favorite tbh
How 'bout those Cleveland INDIANS! Don't forget the 455 game sell-out streak in the mid-nineties at Jacob's Field.
Oh
#BooYou!
This guy knows nothing.
@@DieYuppiieSkum Don't knock the stray cats: they kill the rodents! Veteran's Stadium brought in cats to eat the mice!
@@davidlafleche1142 Veterans Stadium may have had cats but it was pitiful for a ballpark.
5:49 in the video... he clearly says it was changed to baseball only
New Yankee stadium so beautiful.
It was a prank!
@@SeansTop5 hell no , you know yankee stadium so beautiful yankee stadium better then citi field facts 100%
Nice language...just glad I'm not a young fan.
