Gave in and bought him just to support more kaiju being made. He’s way more pose-able than the ultra act but mine’s a little stiff still. However that tail is atrocious!
Great review! I have the overpriced ultra act version which definitely has a better tail and a bit more details but this one still looks very neat. The legs and feet seem to be better on this one too. Keep up the great work
Golza has always been my favorite kaiju in the entire Ultra series, i was so glad i picked him up. my only gripe is that tail, I really wish SHFiguarts would make an accessory kit for Golza like a ball-jointed tail, effect parts and possibly a new head that resembles his Ultra Galaxy/Reiwa design.
He looks quite interesting! But I do have to think about it, due to my budget. Also, will you have plans to do an review of the recent S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla 2004 figure by chance?
I normally probably wouldn't have watched this particular video since Ultraman is not something I ever really cared about, but I had to see that tail up close. It doesn't even really look like it moves that well. Godzilla 2002 nailed tail articulation, I don't see why they felt the need to make a completely new system. A system that I do not expect to hold up over time. That wire will almost surely become limp or just break inside the tail if it's moved around a lot.
This review was neat, short and sweet like the others. Really great job covering Golza! Hope you get to the new MonsterArts 2004 Goji soon; I'd love to see what your thoughts are on it
i really feel like the SHF Golza edges out the Ultra Act offering just a bit in terms of accuracy to his original appearance in Tiga, but i really like how the Ultra Act looks. i will compromise on saying that the SHF Golza feels like a middle-ground between how he looked in the original show and how he looks in recent appearances.
I personally prefer the older style of simple fades between size comparisons. The new way has too much movement for me, and feels somewhat harder to get as good of a look.
I wonder if Sh figuarts decides to make a Fire Golza, that is the version I like

This OG design is still nice but I still think the newer version is my favorite and I just think of golza as the gomora of the heisei era
