It was supposed to protect her from ever dying a violent death. Grandma and grandpa were short and blue eyed with blonde hair. My mom was 6 ft. tall with black eyes and hair and brown skin. She had a hawk nose and high cheekbones. It was pretty obvious she was not like anyone else in the family. My sister was blonde and I got the dark eyes and hair! I also got her very scary temper!
