Thank you! I was a bit sad that people thought that. After the eevee render was done, I used a node from davinci called watercolor. In a couple weeks I’ll post a detailed breakdown of the scene
I was watching the top 100 renders video for the challenge, and yours instantly caught my eye! This sort of painted and stylized animation style is something I've been wanting to learn for ages. I really hope you post a detailed breakdown. Also! interesting you used Eevee! I found myself using almost only cycles lately, and now I'm curious about what I could do with Eevee instead. You're awesome! can't wait to see what else you create!
I will do a breakdown! I just need some time because I'm very busy at the moment. Yeah Eevee is mad powerful, and it was a big deal for me with a low end pc
I, too, came here instantly from seeing your video in the compilation. Out of everything it jumped out at me - incredible work, mate. Can't wait for the breakdown ;)
this one was my Fav , a winner for me ... can i get a high resolution wallpaper of that plz plz plz ...or is there a way to use this loop in wallpaper engine
It’s a combination of techniques, in eevee I used toon shading mixed with pbr and in post production I used a node from davinci called watercolor, to give it an extra toon look
hey man i saw ur submission and it was my favorite for sure. do you know of any cartoons/movies in this style? i would love to watch something like this. reminds me of max payne/sin city. its got noir vibes
I want to do a detailed breakdown, but basically (for the car): I wanted the reflections to be true, so I took a PSDF metallic shader with a clearcoat and then mixed it with itself + a shader to RGB node (linear color ramp bands). In post I also applied a Davinci watercolor filter to the whole image.
really interesting style! nice work!
I just saw this on the compilation, and saw your comment that there was no AI. Amazing work.
Thank you!

if it's not a secret, how to make such a stylization? is it a render or materials or a third-party program

Thank you birdy! I don't think so, but some of my inspirations were noire cinema, Alberto Mielgo and 90s animes
Hey man. How did you do this shader?
