I love your Akita, I just had to put mine to sleep because her hip dysplasia was so bad. I adopted her 10+ years ago and she was my best friend. I gave her a great life but my house is so empty without her. I wish you many happy years with Kaito.

Yes, we use a harness since september last year since we also read an article about the damage that other chains can do. This is already a fairly old video, we didn't know back then... Thanks for your advice though, I hope a lot of viewers read your comment as well! :D

I think if you want to study the facial expressions, that video is gonna be very helpful.

Akita Inus are one of a kind,, really primitive and keen on hunting from back in the days when they were used to hunt big animals, thus Akita Inus rarely run free because without their leash they'd be all over the place and maybe even gone for the better good if they were to track something.
I know people who use them without a leash... They discipline them.. Dogs only run away for good when they are always on a leash and then get let off. Rural dogs don't get lost.
You are really lucky having a beautiful great animal like Kaito! Please put an H harness on him, the thyroid gland risk damages from collars, expecially choke chains, and also the back spine. The eyes and brain as well receive damages and it creates bad associations and consequent bad experiences and behavior!
