This is probably going to change because I want to get a HKS V cam. And upgrade my turbo to the BW 9280 EFR. I've got a spare RB26 that I'm gonna stroke to a 2.8. My builds are on my channel.

Wouldn't it be a great idea to like get one of those HKS motors? They're also like 35k-40k the stage 1's
@Vishakh1733 my RB30/26 is superior to the HKS in every way. And honestly, billet would be the way I would go if and when I need to refocus the platform.

not gonna lie i know its expensive but its still cheaper than what dealerships and other people are selling skylines for ill def do a build plus its the bonding and satisfaction of your creation
very true! the learning experience is invaluable.
This is pretty much the budget build of budget builds. Send your engine to DSport and the machining and assembly alone will be $8,000 USD.
DSPORT built my head. $8K for assembly and machining is not bad.

My 2.8 tomei stroker didn't even make out of the shop after 7 months of build. Oil in the coolant :(

I'm selling a slightly used BW 9174 EFR, it's got 5 Dyno pulls on it but it's to small for my setup. I have to upgrade to a 9280. Let me know if your interested or know someone who is.

Fitment was nice, and not to hard to remove when needed. only issue i have it routing the oil and coolant lines
That's why you get an RB30. Lifts everything up and out of the way. Ditch AC while you're at it. Lol

How much do you have so far in the rb26? I’m building an S30 now and the RB26 is my top choice.

I understand there are many variables but on average what is the cost to build something with 450whp?
It is hard to say with the cost of parts constantly increasingly, but from a reliability stand point, i would say $8-10K, if you have a stock platform.

Contact Tacoma Nissan. They typically have some in stock. I got lucky and got one of the first few that came in. If not i believe Dynasty Motorsports has some as well.

iirc this RB28 motor built from scratch, with all the motec gear & tuned was 110k (USD$72,000)
Mind you this is the pinnacle of RB tuning.
