    This is my 4th year doing track and i have been improving my times a little every year. So for me a new pr would be a win despite what the competition does.

    The problem is that i can hold that speed for a mile and the treadmill i use only goes up to 12mph

    How fast can you really run miles per hour

    Less is more, 20 rounds are to much. I ran 3% incline 400m at 20km h (72sec) 2days ago. Do a few intervals.

      20kmh? Thats to much i can maybe 15kmh

    • @logistiekoperator4552
      @logistiekoperator4552 Год назад

      @@blackswordsmann1871 its best to focus on personal progress than speed comparaison imo. Some might reach their max heart rate at 10 km h others might be able to run half marathons at 20km h steady pace.

      So the frequency to is relative to our goals and personal progress and preferences. For a short distance track athlete sprinter a few intervals will often do, while an endurance long distance athlete might need the 20 rounds or more. Michael Johnson for example ran only 3 times 200m as preparation for his Olympic record.

      @@henryfernandez304 hey speed walking won’t help with running but you will do ruck marches so doing speed walks with help with that plus leg workouts

      @@Zedxd I assume take a little longer breaks or going 1-2mph slower for the rest once you notice it’s getting hard to stay at top speed.
