From the song's Wikipedia page - "A version heavily reworked for a mainstream audience, "3 a.m. Eternal (Live at the S.S.L.)", was issued in January 1991 and reached number one on the UK singles chart and number five on the US Billboard Hot 100. This version had a rap by Ricardo da Force. Although a lot of crowd noise appears on the mix, it is in fact a purely studio-based creation. The whole album is great! Classic from that era.
Watch the Top of the Pops performance of Justified and Ancient 😂
Back in the late 80's, I was hitting the iron hard listening on my CD-WALKMAN to this track and some C & C Factory in the day..
This was at the beginning of "dance" music, where rap and house and anything could be incorporated into the same song! After that, things began "separating" themselves into "house" "trance" "rap" "drum and bass" etc. but at this point in time, anything and everything could be in the song and it wouldn't matter..............nice one!
That's a classic! Better than the new junk.
OMGOODNESS!!! Been forever since I heard this song! Awesome! I loved KLF and this song when it came out! Thanks for the memory prod!
THE KLF com seu son acid house mudou toda cena underground eletrônica definitivamente os precursores hoje e sempre!!
