The girthy low end reminds me of the Diezel Herbert, albeit with a different (bloated?) Soldano-like distortion profile. Cost aside, I'm not sure if this sound is for me, but it's definitely an interesting sound. Very curious about how it sounds in a mix.

I have an old Masotti X3M preamp (Pierangelo's previous brand) and I pair it with VHT 2/50/2 (EL34). For extra aggression I plug into the return of VHT UL (KT88). Sounds great in both setups. The EQ reacts a bit differently than your standard one but once dialed-in, it became one of my go-to for thrash-y rhythm.
Sounds extremely similar to the Bogner UU. It is obviously trying to compete with it but Mezza is insanely expensive esp after duty fees to import into US. Kyle is also using a boost. W/o boost was mid to me though. The Bogner UU does not need a boost. I would go Bogner UU or RedSeven Leviathan unless one day you can find a used Mezza Apocalypse (but I bet they will still sell for almost $4500-5000 on reverb used. Crazy shizzzz.

I’ve been using tube amps for a long time. I have a small 1-watt amp and a 40-watt one for when I want to enjoy higher volumes or play outdoors, giving the amp enough space to fully express itself without being too close. So, I’m wondering, what’s the point of having as much power as the amp in the video? I’m asking because, as far as I know, when playing live and needing a lot of volume, you usually plug directly into a mixing console or PA system, right? Or maybe I’m missing something, and having 200 watts is actually really useful? 🤷🏼♀️
This sounds exactly like the Bogner Ultra Uber w KT88s. Can save a lot of $$$ just getting Uber and do not have to import from overseas. The RedSeven Leviathan also sounds like this amp. Cool amp but crazzzzyyy expensive.
I would not order from Redseven, i bought a Leviathan and the workmanship is very poor and the people who work there are not very reliable or good to deal with. I really wish I bought a different amp. My Leviathan is currently a paperweight.

EVH 5150 is all you need for high gain, the price is also very honest.

You can get 200+ watt rated cabinets. ENGL makes a 4x12 that can handle 240 watts.
PA speakers probably.
Definitely not shitty V30's.
Eminence makes a bunch of speakers that are 120-200 watts.
ElectroVoice makes them up to 300 watts each.
