I am amazed by this series! The combination of narration with prosody! In my experience it appears to demonstrate a unique linguistic wonder. Is it either illusory or is it revealing of an innate metrical structure within Wodehouse prose when, ordinarily, prose is defined by being non-metrical? Is it his near poetic stress and intonation? Phenomenologically, for myself, it contributes seemingly to the characteristics of good literary composition, enabling the content to be read and heard effortlessly, enhancing engagement with great pleasure. But what happens if you attempt this exercise with other authors, for example with Stella Gibbons' 'Cold Comfort Farm'? I'm dyslexic. I usually dislike novels. Is metrical presentation alleviating this discomforting condition? Whatever. I love it.
@@Sarah-4-IddiesI can only listen to Cecil reading Wodehouse works, his voices especially “Jeeves” is the ONLY version that I enjoy. I listen to them as I drift off to sleep.❤️ Many thank to you!

To many, Wodehouse writings (combined with Cecil’s reading) act as antidepressants. 😊😉
