Hey May and George
So May you hate scrapping the inside of a kettle to get rid of lime scale. Have you ever tried using straight white vinegar?? Put about a cup in the kettle and swirl it around, then put the lid on and let it sit for a few hours. Then take a plastic scour pad and wipe the inside with the vinegar still in the kettle. WOW what amazing results and no metal on metal scrapping. By the way make sure you rinse the kettle out well. Another way is to boil the vinegar in the kettle with the lid on, that's the quick way.

Works a treat. This household hint was given to me in 1967 as I left home. Still use it
Hate the smell of vinegar.
Much prefer food-safe citric acid. Comes as a powder, mix with water in the kettle and warm up to speed it up ... Works perfectly
Ooo I’ll try that!
Back in the days, we had an oyster shell in the kettle. The shell will capture the limescale
I must say you seem very happy when George is around, let’s hope you stay happy,it’s good to see
I am!
Ok borrow the opening monologue a very well know a science fiction show. " These are the continuing journeys of May and George, their ongoing quest to explore strange new canals, to seek new Adventures and new Horizons to go boldly and beyond Oxford." Alright it once again over the top, but it may way of saying just enjoy the journey and keep a journal (just for yourself) if you can. As one day it be something to look back and say yes I did and here's changed me.
Cute
We all need to hold Labour to account. We need to stand together and build our movement. Regardless of who is in power. They need to answer to us. We need to be more than a pressure group. We need to be the people that politicians come to for advice... We the People...
Fab to see you both at the weekend, next time on the canal, happy adventure's
Yay 🙏

Singing to Cows increases milk production 😮😮 It Goes In One Ear and Out The Udder 😅😅😅😅
Sing to cows it good for milk production it goes in one ear and out the udder 😂
Hehe
MAY You need to get a Chain Welded to you fuel CAP SO When it slips out of your gripe it dos not end up in bottom of CANAL.
That would be handy for clumsy moments
Lovely vlog got say the south oxford canal is such a beautiful canal we brought our new narrow boat down from rugby boats was a amazing trip loved every moment well until we got back on the k&A lmfao😂 back supporting the fuel boat 😊 thanks for sharing
Sounds great! It is a beautiful part of the world!

There's something missing at the beginning of the video
I suggest you put a warning like "May's smile may damage your retina." 😉
Hope the trips going well lass, another 5 days and I should be back home.

Great news you can work on the boat and cruise.
Soooo great’
Where is George’s van? Great video! So much exciting stuff happening. Safe travels.
Currently it is on its way to Wales! Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Hi May and George it is beautiful scenery along that river so is it possible for us overseas watchers you could let us know where you actually are ? Thanks Jon 🇦🇺OZ 🤗😘
Between Banbury and Cropredy! 😃
The North (Yorkshire) is the best place in the UK!!!! Gods Own County ❤😂
Many feel the same!
Nice start to the adventure, very brave, respect ! How does George get back to his van? I think you need an e bike May :)
Working on it!
Great to see you heading for the best half of the country. Is it my imagination that you painted the boat on the last episode. Or is this some creative editing at work.
She’s been painted top to bottom!
@@wellbeingonwater Hi May. The reason for my thinking was the white patches on the red paint, either side of the top of the boat. After studying the previous episode when you painted the boat, I could see you hadn't got round to that as the boat left the dry dock. The boat looks great and is a credit to both yourself and George.
You need a rubber grommet for the wire. Large chandler's or possibly hire fleet yard.
Thanks!
You do know u can purchase a little wire ball for the kettle that helps with the lime scale, and u leave it in kettle
Used to have one but didn’t work for some reason 🙃
@@wellbeingonwater typical 😂
There a plastic rubbers that go in electrical boxes in the wall plugs where the wire goes in look abought that size plus a bit of mastic? Wickes eill sell them or ebay might be called electrical gromets?
2 tsp citric acid in a cup of hot water, heat it up. even before the water boils all scaler is disolved :)
Cool!
Scanstrut do teh cable seals - not cheap as they are marine rated, but they work. Index Marine do flat ones if yu prefer those
or just stuff the hole with butyl sealant (never sets) or OB1 (sets rubbery like sikaflex) from screwfix
The video was beautifully shot this episode. New camera?
Same camera, just had someone else to film it instead of me doing it on my own everytime!
22:02 I keep rewinding, trying to read your toilet sign. A compost toilet is still a mystery to me.
This is a first class toilet, the second class toliet is on platform 2 … something like that!
Such a beautiful girl !!!
🙏
Hey, you were moored next to Ding Dong.
Hehe
May you need to clean your solar panels ,in the state they in will use 35% less power
Gets very dusty this time of year
Hi May.
A few things :-
Why are you using White diesel fuel when you can save a lot of £ by using Red ( agricultural fuel ) ?.
You definitely need to have a chain or something on your fuel tank cap, finding that in the murky waters would be a miracle.
Your engine is smoking way too much ( and it is white smoke, which either means your injectors are reaching the end of their life, the engine is running on a bit of oil leaking past the piston rings or it is possible you have a diesel bug problem ( you can perform a test on the fuel in the tank and it is possible to get the fuel treated).
The rubber grommets that you require for the roof, check Automobile parts stores because many Cars used to have a long conical shaped Rubber grommet that used to go through the Fire wall ( Engine compartment to interior of the car ) and they were used for cables/wires etc,George should Know what I mean.
Heat Shrink Tubing is something else from Car shops that would be great for your electrical connections, you just pick the size you want ( it comes in a box of various sizes ) or you can just buy a roll of one size and you slip it over the connector and you can use a lighter or heat gun to shrink to fit an it will be completely waterproof and the connectors can’t come apart.
Great to see you travelling a bit further afield and another great video.❤
I think you have made an assumption! Thanks for the advice
@@wellbeingonwaterAssumption ?. It certainly looks like White diesel when coming out from the Jerry Can 🤷♂️.
I have been working on Diesel engines all my life so I think I might have a good idea of the issues with your engine and it’s not assumption,it’s diagnosis !!.
Thought your response was a bit rude to be perfectly honest and that will be the last time I offer my advice on anything for you unless I receive a apology regarding your abruptness and rudeness towards someone who is trying to Help you and save you from future problems 😡
soon to be eskimo nell

What is that song?
Not sure which one you mean. Got a collection of royalty free stuff
With regards to that song, does jimmy Savile ring a bell ?
Maybe!!!
How fast in mph does the boat go? 😊
4 mph is the maximum allowed.
Up to about 4mph for me
Get yourself a jiggle pipe it will make refuelling so much easier. Keep up the good stuff.
Haha love the name of it. I had one, it went into the tank!!
6:41 (down to brass tacks) or so, ahhhh, the grace of a ballerina, missed your calling dear, 0:58 not far off either.
