I used to work in a Christian bookshop in Croydon in the early 70's, and the girls in the shop played this album constantly. Happy days... different world 😌

The song ‘Lovely Touching’ was one of the songs I was happiest contributing to this album. The guitar solo is stunning, contributed by Idris, can’t remember his last name, I believe he was with a band called the Mixtures, I also believe he wrote the ‘Pushbike song’. His solo is most poignant. His wife had died shortly before he recorded his solo. I always feel the solo is imbued with much emotion, which fits the song perfectly as the song is a kind of cosmic love song of human and cosmic connectedness. The song was also a favourite of my dear friend the late great John Pac.

I remember listening to Lovely Touching in my bedroom when I was a teenager. I was feeling unwell at the time, fell asleep listening to it, and woke up feeling just fine. This was not long after I came to faith after seeing Parchment perform at the Bromyard Festival in 1973. Thanks Keith, John and Sue. This is eternal stuff.

I was the manager of a charity shop in the early 90s, and in a Christian metal band. This album came into the shop as a donation, and I'd never heard of the band, but bought it anyway.
The songs are incredibly well written, and the musicianship is excellent. I've never fallen out of love with the album.
Sadly, I don't have the record anymore (I assume it got lost in some house move or other), but it was great to hear it again here.

They came and performed at my school in the 70s - great characters. Loved this album.

The guitar solo around 7:30 minutes sounds a little bit like Roy Buchanan's style!! Excellent album!!

It's Idris Jones who was formerly in The Mixtures, remember The Pushbike Song.
