It would be really neat to do a side-by-side comparison between the IMX-pro blue rod and the Teramar NE XX 70 MH. I am really torn between these two lol
@@robe997 I have one of each lol, found used. I am leaning toward Teramar XX though (lighter in hand IMO). Both paired with Penn Spinfisher VI 4500s and balanced out well, actually can't see putting a much heavier reel on....but that is just personal preference.
Hey man. Nice review. I have that same 844s mf rod. I'm wondering if you have a rod pulse when reeling like I do? When I put my saragosa 5000 on it, the line rubbed the first guide so hard that you could hear it when reeling. I think I can hear it in your video, but not a 100% sure. Can you confirm this? Also, the first guide is huge compared to the others right?
Thanks for your review. I wanted to pick up a spinning rod for a party boat. I was thinking of using it this year for Tautog, but maybe use it for striper fishing and also fluke fishing. I know on the party boat I could go up to 10-12oz or more. Do you like the 844s MF or 844s f. I'm thinking the MF because it's a good middle ground between say M and F. I wish I had the rods in front of me to compare. Thank you!
@@reelcastcharters1306 Thanks for your quick reply. My understanding is the power would be the same, but the 844SF would have a softer tip that starts to bend mainly at the end while the 844SMF would extend a little further down the rod. Which one do you think would handle larger weight bottom fishing? I'm still leaning towards the 844SMF because I think it would be more versatile but I'm sure it would be less sensitive.
They used to at some point. The 2 powered rods had a max of 1.5 oz or about 45 grams. The 3 powered rods maxed out at 2 oz or 60 grams. The 4 powered at 3 or so oz.
Hi, do you think the 904c would suit a tranx 500? As I have one but I know there’s a bit of a size/weight difference between the 400 and 500 tranx, or would one of the other imx pro blues suit it better? Cheers
love my spinning versions but im truly disappointed in the casting versions i have 3 casting 845 nd 905 have busted on me several times on a fish strike. im baffled to say the least !!!!!!!

Braided line will make some noise in the guides, I have never noticed anything that isn't normal with mine.

I prefer the 844SMF for my fishing, it has a softer tip. The 844SF is a "stiffer" rod.

Why doesn't G Loomis list the Lure Rating for these rods on their website?

how sensitive is this? and how is the castability compared to the st croix legend surf rods.

I think its good for the 400, the 500 is a bit heavier
