We have the same in our front garden & the same colours with the border! We just have a resin path, never thought about slabs. Looks lovely. It’s not slippery either 🙂
Looks great, can't wait to see the plants and some greenery go in...so many homes neglect this incredibly important step. Landscaping can take homes up to the next level and stop it looking like a commercial carpark. It'll take a home from average to incredible. 😀
Loved it Kerry the colour great ,In the spring with all the colourful plants it will be perfect ♥️
Love it my neighbours have this it looks amazing xx
Hi! How much was it?
Hi can I ask what rough price would be for something like this please?
Ive added a link to their website in my description box.. their prices vary but I have a great discount code for you to use which will be automatically added when you go over to their page xxx
Wow what a transformation Kerry! Love it! 🤩
Looks great, however I can't understand why you have used a SUDS compliant driveway material (the resin bound stone), but made it non-SUDS compliant by using concrete as the underlay. We have been looking into having this done on our driveway and patio area, but the building inspectors insist it must be SUDS compliant.
They’ve used permeable concrete which is suds compliant, specifically used for these driveways as water drains through it 👍
Hi Kerry how are you.. your drive way friont looks great beautiful 😊❤ and Happy new year thank you for all your videos much love from me.. ❤
Wondering about the price
Looks stunning. X
Its a nice job but the render on the house is bridging the DPC and you now have a non permeable surface up to the wall. You will have future damp issues especially if you have timber floors
hehe we are all a little crazy!!!! hehe xxx
That looks amazing!! X
Oh Kerry it looks beautiful 2 tall black tubs with box balls each side off your door would look lovely u must be over the moon sending love to u and your family 👍💞😘
Finishes it off Lovley xxx
Fantastic transformation!
So glad you like it :) xxx
This is nice but its very slippery in rain and Frost. I know people who have broken bones
Sorry but your miss informed
Resin bound doesn’t hold water and when installed properly you add crushed glass and it ads a slip resistant surface
Incorrect I’m afraid
@@Icon-renovations it does hold water if installed in n concrete like in video should be layed over tarmac
@@Concreteprinteddrivewaysyour concrete is supposed to have slop not be level. So no the permeable pebble drains the water below and the water then follows the slop of the concrete .
my friend : never ever move your hand in front of the camera i couldn't watch
why not resin over the existing pavers ??
The driveway looks amazing but the state of the footpath outside your house is not ideal, I would get in touch with the council to replace or repair the flags which look badly cracked and probably a trip hazard. You have spent thousands on this project which enhances the neighbourhood. Why should you pay for that too. Love your RUclips shorts, very funny well made.
Oh yes that’s all been done now too so it’s all looking lovely 🥰🥰
Lovely driveway, thanks for sharing. I have a question, with your driveway sloping do you have any issues with rain collecting near your house?
No not at all.. the drainage on resin driveways are so good and the extra soak away which was installed means there is never any rain collected near the house :) xxx
More crap for people to spend thier money on
Looks stunning, perfect finish to your house. Why do you leave your bins out the front when you have access to your back garden? Seems such a shame to spoil the look
We are getting a bin storage for them :) if we put them down the side of our house, it would be super tight to walk down there with them there so we decided to just hide them in a storage shed instead :) xxx
@@KerryWhelpdale Sorry I meant have them completely in the back of the house somewhere, perhaps with a similar cover and wheel them to the front on pick up day. You know best the spaces etc and your home is lovely x
💞💞
So glad we came across your video the front your house is very similar to ours, and we are also looking for the main area to be a grey shade, our installer uses Vuba resin, can i ask what the make and colour of the grey area are
Hi i love it!! What's under the resin? Concrete or hardcore???
Nice job like the porcelain stepping stones looks good 👌🏻
Hi
Nice drive 👌
The sleepers oak ?
Regards
Looks class, do you want roots near your gas meter?
Hi Kerry,
How much it cost you ?
Cheers
How much did it cost?
Very nice
Always love a good home makeover 😍😍 hope you had a lovely christmas and a good year ahead 😍
Resin is supposed to have a permeable sub base NOT concrete ?
It is no fines permeable concrete
Looks stunning Kerry, really finished off things nicely 😊
Shame the finish is lovely but laying resin on top of concrete is not the proper way… you will see in a few months
Does laying on concrete cause an issue with drainage? I was under the impression resin should be a permeable surface so below would need to be easily permeable material so defeats the object if the sub base isn’t! Can you explain as I am about to get a resin drive & need to make sure it’s done correctly 😬
@@jaminns3801 There are various ways of doing it, the sub-base needs to be permeable. In this video it's MoT Type 1 which is permeable but not fully SUDS compliant but they do have a soakaway which will make a difference. For SUDS compliance you really need MoT Type 3 that is crushed limestone up to 40mm with a sub-base layer that is 20cm deep minimum. You can use permeable apshalt on top of that sub-layer then you lay the resinbound on top of that. With that arrangement you can get around new building regulations for soakaways (5m from house, and 2m from a border) and for planning permission if the laid driveway is over 5m sq with non-permeable material. So many regulations at the moment to stop surface water flooding.
Wow, honestly such a beautiful transformation. With all the flowers in, it will take the whole space up another notch too.
Hi Kerry, the driveway looks awesome, amazing job, well done, I love it 👏
It looks nice
It looks incredible! I bet you and Chris are so pleased with it. I can’t believe the builders finished last November it doesn’t seem that long ago! Your house is so beautiful so happy for you and your family. Xx
This looks great!
Looks FABULOUS, no wonder you're pleased the difference is amazing. Thanks for sharing xx
Love the new driveway, the contrast of borders & colour looks absolutely spot on!! Top Job👍🏽💪🏽
I was wondering why we hadn't seen the front!
Oh it looks lovely Kerry! Must feel lovely to have your home ‘just so’. Xx
We start our resin driveway in March and after seeing this I cannot wait
Aahh you will love it.. it’s such a lovely finish 😍
It's lovely, thanks for sharing!
Drive looks gorgeous 😍 xxx
Looks so so nice 😊
Looks really good xx
Looks lovely 😍
Looks fabulous ❤
Aw Kerry it looks fabulous 😊
Lovely job , looks really nice.
Your drive looks fantastic! 🙂
We had a Ronacrete RonaDeck SuDS compliant resin bound gravel (Harvest Crunch) driveway installed by PRC Landscapes in 2012 and it still looks great! Fifteen year guarantee from the manufacturer too. The foundation they installed on top of the MOT Type 1 sub base was permeable tarmacadam so rain just runs through the surface to the ground below.
Looks fantastic hope you all had a lovely Christmas Happy New year to you all

Not really a time-lapse is it
That looks lovely Kerry. I've only seen houses near us with the golden resin drives. Loving the grey colour. So much better than the block paving
