Unfortunately there aren’t many good ones anymore, however it takes 2 was amazing and a way out was also fantastic, I wish the company who made those pump out a few more. Overall I want more story based couch co-op games rather than the amount of party games that are available

Yeah, also surprised about that.. you may want to try outward - it is a pretty good one actually (and difficult enough for those of us who like challenges)
THANK YOU for highlighting these kinds of experiences. I hate how much online co-op has completely taken the attention away from couch co-op games over the last decade and a half. Glad to see some people still care and will bring attention to games like these

Another good co-op game is teenage mutant ninja turtles shredders revenge, it's a very fun side srcoller beat em up with a cool pixel art style.
Streets of rage 4 is a blast
Remnant 2 would be the perfect 2 player splitscreen game wish theyd go there.

These games are extremely weak for people like me who used to enjoy shooters like halo and gears with buddies back in the days. I'm not saying these are bad, but they aren't great for playing with the boys.
