    I am surprised how many people are here that don't know about VEX (or FTC/FRC). Typically our robot videos stay within our community, I guess the RUclips algorithm decided everyone needed to see it, lol.

      @@anteconfig5391 it's a game, moving those balls like that with a robot autonomously, scores points. Objective is to score the most points. There are also other restrictions that the robots must meet.

      @@sankang9425 correct, in this video it is. In VEX there are two sections autonomous and TeleOp (driver controlled), this video is autonomous, meaning pre-programmed!

      The motion looked really messy and inefficient at first, but then as I watched I realized that each motion was doing exactly what it needed to do very accurately and without any need to back up and try again.

      Bruh I get the color coding and ball count, even net positions... but how does it know where to go to recieve the balls, that is what blows my mind. Unless its a proxy type thing

    For my teams that haven’t gotten to compete with semicolon, they’re literally the coolest people ever. I’m glad that people are finding this video and noticing their hard work. They’re a blast to work with and compete against. (Even if you know you’re gonna get destroyed in terms of points)

    Super cool. I had a project like this about 10 years ago in hs using a program called fisher or something to program with if and or statements. Had to run a course, pick up a ball and lift it into the bucket and also program it to work with a remote control. It essentially worked in the same way as yours with a track lifter but yours is in a different world of functionality.

    Bro i just got second at state in Oregon and we were not close to this good like jfc 49 seconds?!? Our highest in prog was 65 and we 109 in driving and the first place got 68 and 124. Ngl im really impressed with how my teammate and i did, because we are just freshmen so this is our first year of actual vex and not vex iq.

    I participated VEX 2010 world competition and one of the teams (not my team tho) in my school, Shanghai Yongchang Middle School, won the championship of that year. This experience is so memorable and valuable.

      competition switch, initializes in the prematch portion of the code

      If the prematch doesn’t work one way around it is to just put the inertial calibration in the main so that when you start the code it’s calibrating and once you turn the auton on it’ll already be calibrated

    Kick butt!! Is there a program that can map property visually also note obstacles as trees/bushes/etc?
    I cannot program but want to make mower smarter than joy stick control.
    I’ll have to add front camera(s) sensors to set close cut near bushes etc.
    any advice?

      @@isaacreedy5500 When practicing it doesn’t matter which color is in the goals and since we clear the field every run it’s faster and easier to leave the balls in the towers and only rest the floor ones.

      It is all pre programmed we are not currently using any vision system. We do however use a multitude of different sensors to track the robot position and the ball positions in our robot.

      It's VEX robotics, a high-school robotics competition. This was the 2020-2021 game.

      @@alexwolski3344 Yes, it is very cool that we get to do this stuff! If you are interested you should check out FRC which is a similar highschool competition, but on a other level. These VEX, robots are 18"x18"x18" but the FRC robots are typically upwards of 28"x38"x60". These are true industrial robots, with costs for one team competing ranging upwards of $25,000. I have competed in VEX, FTC, and FRC and it is very fun and rewarding to build these robots! Amazing introduction to the STEM field for students!

      Depends on where to ball is located in the intake as well as where will the ball roll after it is dispended from robot.
