I like bawls, but balls are good too

My dog thinks the same thing
Blue balls
I am surprised how many people are here that don't know about VEX (or FTC/FRC). Typically our robot videos stay within our community, I guess the RUclips algorithm decided everyone needed to see it, lol.
lol. yup. I'm here witnessing skill in action but I don't know why it's happening.
@@anteconfig5391 it's a game, moving those balls like that with a robot autonomously, scores points. Objective is to score the most points. There are also other restrictions that the robots must meet.
@@anteconfig5391 Robotics competition. Search VEX robotics change up and watch the game reveal video explains the basic of the game.
It's AUTONOMOUS? There's no human and a controller behind it??
@@sankang9425 correct, in this video it is. In VEX there are two sections autonomous and TeleOp (driver controlled), this video is autonomous, meaning pre-programmed!
This was a recommended video and I'm so glad it was. I can't get over how cool this is. Amazing speed and accuracy.
Glad you enjoyed :)
Fully agreed
The motion looked really messy and inefficient at first, but then as I watched I realized that each motion was doing exactly what it needed to do very accurately and without any need to back up and try again.
Bruh I get the color coding and ball count, even net positions... but how does it know where to go to recieve the balls, that is what blows my mind. Unless its a proxy type thing
Same shit! What a good recommendation!
For my teams that haven’t gotten to compete with semicolon, they’re literally the coolest people ever. I’m glad that people are finding this video and noticing their hard work. They’re a blast to work with and compete against. (Even if you know you’re gonna get destroyed in terms of points)
me playing online games be like
RUclips subtitles be like :
Robot noices
Subtitles: * robot noises *
Comments: * pog noises *
The subtitles lmao
Super cool. I had a project like this about 10 years ago in hs using a program called fisher or something to program with if and or statements. Had to run a course, pick up a ball and lift it into the bucket and also program it to work with a remote control. It essentially worked in the same way as yours with a track lifter but yours is in a different world of functionality.
When the algorithm chooses a VEX video…
OP prog skills and OP team good luck at Kala!
:24 man's just poops it out
This is great the next time I go on an date and get Blue Balls... I know who I'm calling..
This is an amazing piece of engineering and programming. Well done!
RUclips algorithm suggested this video for me. Very pleased. Thank you youtube algorithm.
I am more impressed by the robot design - Its so smooth
tis video should be classified as oddly satisfying video as i have watch it multiple times! LOL!
Bro i just got second at state in Oregon and we were not close to this good like jfc 49 seconds?!? Our highest in prog was 65 and we 109 in driving and the first place got 68 and 124. Ngl im really impressed with how my teammate and i did, because we are just freshmen so this is our first year of actual vex and not vex iq.
That’s awesome nice job and you have a long time to get better. Cheers.
@@6047OSSemicolon hey thanks man it is super fun and dont plan on stopping soon so we will hopefully get much better.
Bro, you got 109 driving as freshman. Well done 👏👏 that’s awesome.
@@alecmiksa2564 Thank you so much my teammate is a pretty good driver and it is pretty impressive just watching him. (he plays smashbros a lot so the precise movements at high speeds might translate over.)
@@theratking14 how are yall doing this season
Humans: "Robots are going to take over the world!"
Robot: "I take the red ball out, put the blue ball in."
Man, you put our bot to shame. Looking forward to seeing you guys compete internationally!
Excellent mechanical design too
why does this video have more views then the actual game reveal video lmao
Daamn, that's such a cool robot, so much accuracy and speed, that's really good man! Keep going doin' such amazing stuff! 😍😍🔥🔥
I participated VEX 2010 world competition and one of the teams (not my team tho) in my school, Shanghai Yongchang Middle School, won the championship of that year. This experience is so memorable and valuable.
Excellent pa
I have no idea what I just watched but damn that was satisfying
I’m looking forward on what y’all come up with on tipping point
Great job, works a lot better and consistently than the one we built!
Now imagine this on a nano scale and the robot removing and fixing or replacing our DNA and cells from damaged ones.
I was thinking the same thing
Cool 🤓
b a l l s .
We have trillions of cells.
Hopefully this technology becomes true sooner rather then later!!!!
Absolutely badass
Fantastico 💣😁
I'm from Vietnam, nice to know you're passionate about mechanics 👍👍 let's share experiences together
Praise be our blessed algorithm, we all should see the ball robot through your divine content selection 🙏🙏🙏
speechless
Absolutely brutal.
Bro this is so cool. I love how you colored the flex wheels. Would have awesome to complete with y’all. And how did it intake from center so fast.
Excellent results 😉👍🙌
The algorithm has chosen you...
I love that the captions say *robot noises*
damn.. that looks a lot like wall-e
This robot can sort itself out better than most people.
the name of this channel is giving me robot overload vibes
Lol if my team had this challenge back when I was in FRC our robot would do something stupid like "shake for exactly 13 seconds" hoping to jiggle the red ones out
Dang the RUclips algorithm has shown me some cool stuff

This is #dope, no 🧢

oh.. nice
Yo ,that's sick! I am curious to see the mechamism for exactracting yhe red ones from those towers
This is probably gonna get a few million views in the next few day for no reason, youtube is just great
No idea what I just watched, but it looks interesting.

I don't really know what I just watched but it was still cool so amazing work

How can you start right away without initializing the inertial?
competition switch, initializes in the prematch portion of the code
If the prematch doesn’t work one way around it is to just put the inertial calibration in the main so that when you start the code it’s calibrating and once you turn the auton on it’ll already be calibrated
Nice
Gotta love the subtitling *robot noises* couldn't have made me happier
The guy who made the subtitles for this video had a lot of work
Rly cool!
Holy shit, its insane
Kick butt!! Is there a program that can map property visually also note obstacles as trees/bushes/etc?
I cannot program but want to make mower smarter than joy stick control.
I’ll have to add front camera(s) sensors to set close cut near bushes etc.
any advice?
why it's so satisfying though.
i want to build a robot.
idk what i want it to do but yes.
also i as well dont know why this robot is playing with balls, but i like it.
It's a specially designed robot for a high school robotics competition.
@@LimitedWard high school robotics?
i wish they did that where i went to high school at. schools need more tech classes. tech isnt going anywhere and people need to understand it just as much as any other class subject.
0 points wow. I wish my driver skills was this good.

Why are the red in the tower?
@@isaacreedy5500 When practicing it doesn’t matter which color is in the goals and since we clear the field every run it’s faster and easier to leave the balls in the towers and only rest the floor ones.
@@6047OSSemicolon *cries in resetting the red*
Man look how fast this thing go, while I could barely make ours work.
What competition is this for (if it is for one)
VEX change up you can just look it up on google.
Me encanta demasiado tu prototipo, deberías mostrarlo a empresas.
I needed to watch this a second time to understand what this bot is trying to do. Kudos. Very impressive, able to distinguish and count balls. (Edit: Not being sarcastic)
Windshield wiper motors.... can lift 400 lbs. good mower pusher motors and crawler motors to pull garden/yard trailer.
All hail the omnissiah!
impressive..
vending machine or battery changing robot?

Robot: *casually shits red balls*
that's cool. Does it recognise the balls by their color or is there something else?
Thanks for the subtitles 😉
how does the intake open wider?amazing bot!
Very quick, very precise & VERY 😎. What language(s) are involved & just how many lines of code went into this routine? Again, 😎
We program in C++, and our program is around 3,500 lines of code
@@6047OSSemicolon 3500 lines? Pretty tight 👍
That’s pretty sick!
so cool
is this pre programmed or is it using the vision sensor and stuff? because wow its so smooth
It is all pre programmed we are not currently using any vision system. We do however use a multitude of different sensors to track the robot position and the ball positions in our robot.
@@samfallon2568 how does the robot know where is the ball? Or is a human controlling it towards a ball?
@@mayank8387 the balls are set up in thr same location every time.
@@samfallon2568 ouhhh lol. But what if say something random happened and the ball shoot off and land somewhere else than its anticipated position? What then?

Is this autonomous? The rules seem to state that there is a "0:15 Autonomous Period", so what are we watching?
This is programming skills, which is a different part of the competition
@@onyx__ OK, I mean is the robot remote controlled, or autonomous in the video. Both can be interesting and impressive, but it is impossible to put in to context without some basic information about the control scheme.

It's VEX robotics, a high-school robotics competition. This was the 2020-2021 game.
@@armaansengupta High school!? Very impressive
@@alexwolski3344 Yes, it is very cool that we get to do this stuff! If you are interested you should check out FRC which is a similar highschool competition, but on a other level. These VEX, robots are 18"x18"x18" but the FRC robots are typically upwards of 28"x38"x60". These are true industrial robots, with costs for one team competing ranging upwards of $25,000. Nice closed caption (subtitle) there
Wait, you guys actually had competitions?
Good robot
Yay ! Robots !
Is this fully autonomous, or is someone controlling it?
Fully autonomous
I would loved to have competed last year but we got shut down for Covid. Now I can't compete with the team anymore because I graduated.
Why does it choose between 3 different ways to get rid of the red balls it's holding?
Depends on where to ball is located in the intake as well as where will the ball roll after it is dispended from robot.
BALL-E
If there are 4 balls of the same colour would it infinitely loop?
Wall-e!
